I've read that everyone at CBS dislikes and fears Rather, and supposedly he has 'dirt' on a great many people there. Well, he must have dump truck loads of dirt on all the management of CBS if they keep him on till his announced retirement in 2005. He's gone crazy, he's destroyed any credibility for them, but he's still there!
Dan Rather is the Lyndon Johnson of broadcasting. What's disturbing is that Dan would consider the comparison a compliment. It's not.
