The only thing worse than his committing suicide was his excuse.

Some of you folks are taking this very seriously. Personally, I think our teasing of Mr. Veal's poor decision on ending his life is kind of like poking at a dead squirrel with a stick.

What does this say about the Dems? They hate so much, are so intolerant, that they would kill themselves rather than face the possibility that they do not hold power.

If true...This is "Liberal" mind control at it's finest. Such a young kid, so much to live for and so much pain left for his family to to bear.
I think Libs have more casaualties than the War.

Democratic operatives should be ashamed they've driven a man to such a point. They won't be, but they should be.

Veal apparently was distraught over President Bush's (search) re-election
No loss here (search). Let's move on.
To: Ain Soph Aur
It wasn't the reelection of Bush that made him so distraught, it was "commitment phobia".

Discharging a firearm inside the city limits is a serious offense. Lucky no one else was killed or injured.

He didn't die in vain. The Dems will make sure he votes in the next election.

The RATS are celebrating! They've just gained another life long RAT voter who'll never grow up, never change his voting pattern!

Those killed at Ground Zero would have cheerfully traded places with him. Having suffered through (and survived, obviously!) a suicidal episode during a bout of depression, I understand how rage can masquerades as despair. ...and what an angry act suicide often is.

One thing I can't get my head around. I don't see how this guy went unnoticed. He apparently walked through downtown Manhattan with a shotgun. Wouldn't that seem unusual? Are there a lot of duck hunters up there looking into the sky and dodging cabs?

He obviously took "vote or die" to heart and opted to do both.
