When you lose an election, it's time to go back to the ol' tried and true - culture wars and revisionism. Deconstructing the society you hate. Why no trendy research on the 150-200 million dead by the hand of Marxism?

Read through the accounts of settlers on the frontier and whites captured by Indian tribes, from the early days of settlement up through the post-Civil War Indian wars, and you find that the Indians fought to win. They slaughtered their enemy and tortured their captives. Not a pretty picture. Their actions made the settlers fear them and react with fierce and brutal policies.

Hey, it was the times. Don't whitewash the truth, MSM, don't rewrite history to fit your PC distorted world view.

Have any of you actually read the by-laws of this site?? The following is stated plainly:

Purpose: The Free Republic forum is intended for Conservative users who wish to have a serious discussion about political events, conservative principles and the elimination of government corruption and abuse. This is a news and information site not a chat room. Please stay on topic. Free Republic is a supporter of free speech on the Internet but we believe that along with the privilege of free speech comes the responsibility to respect the rights of others.

That being said . . .

Do the statements "Serious discussion" or "Elimination of Governmental corruption & abuse . . .? " carry any significance for any of you?

This discussion, topic &/or Forum has nothing to do with race or the romanticizing of long dead members of any organization . . . . the point of the discussion is how we as a democratic society composed of an amalgam of peoples, cultures & races, choose to work together to nurture the organizations and individuals entrusted to ensure and protect the rights and freedoms outlined in our National Constitution. There are no sacred cows in American society. Honest, sometimes brutal gazes back into our history may perhaps save our butts one day. The more we understand our past, however flawed, the less likely we are to repeat the same injustices and emotional spasms which have kept us from realizing the creed of our Glorious Nation: We hold these truths to be self evident . . . "

The ignorance, racism and pseudo-intellectualism posted on this site makes me sad and further perpetuates the barriers which even now keep us divided. And we have the unmitigated audacity to label others as intolerant. God save us all!
