I'll never forget when I bought my copy of "Slander" at Atlantic Bookstore on Rehoboth Beach....the clerk held it by the corner at arm's length to put it in a bag for me, as thopugh he were handling doggie doo....I told him not to be afraid, he wouldn't acquire some wasting disease from handling the book....the look I got would have killed me if it were a bullet
