Conservative punk rock band "Attila and the Huns" has completed their "Election 2004 Trilogy". Following on the heels of the anti-"rock the vote" anthem "What's Wrong" and the anti-Michael Moore song "Hateful Lies" is a well-deserved finger in the eye of the rabid supporters of the losing side: "The Better Man Won".
The link to listen to the song is at http://www.aath.net.
For those of you who don't like the style, perhaps you will enjoy seeing the lyrics:
The Better Man Won
Lyrics by J. ODonnell, Music by A. ODonnell & AATH
Verse 1 (PJ)
Did you really think you had us fooled this time?
Did you think you could commit the perfect crime?
We must admit you had us worried for a minute or two
But I guess we should have known that the truth always shines through
And you can trust us, its a win for the red, white and blue
Chorus (Matt)
The fight is over and the votes are reported
And it wasn't John Kerry the people supported
The voters didn't buy all the crap you were selling
and when you'll win again there's just no telling
now all you've got left is to whine and complain
all the millions you spent you whizzed down the drain
cause when everything was said and done
the better man won
Verse 2: (Kevin)
You conned the actors and you swayed our favorite bands
Now all their time and money slipped right through your hands
Now its over do you have any regrets
You tried to hide your past by throwing mud and making idle threats
But the truth got out there anyhow from the Swift Boat Vets
Chorus
Verse 3: (Andrew)
Im sure that election night gave you quite a surprise
The people didnt fall for Michaels hateful Lies
Most of America just isnt quite that dumb
They sent a message, and the message is to go back where you came from
You and your liberal friends have worn out their welcome
Bridge: (Andrew)
Guess Im not an American Idiot
Guess Im not part of a communist agenda
Chorus
Nice.

Very nice, and a thanks to the Swift vets too!
It'd be funnier if they were named "Jenjis Khan."

I like the "Four more years" at the end. Sweet.

Excellent! Will have to check these guys out.
A few of my used to be favorite bands have now been dropped off of my radar scope. I wish they hadn't, but they made their bed.
Cheers!

nice. A bit tame for me to be called punk but good none the less.
Maybe punk is becoming, like Republicans, a "big tent".
This is punk? It's more like Lee Greenwood!
Rock and Roll PING! email Weegee to get on/off this list (or grab it yourself to PING the rest)
I liked that part too.
Heh it might now be Ramones (at least not this song), but I don't think its Lee Greenwood either lol!
Nice little swipe at Green Day at the end!
I wonder if they know The Viking Kittens.
These kids rock pretty well. :)
