You folks do what y'all want, but I'm going to hang on to my MF&GG cds because they ROCK!! Yeah, Fat Mike is a complete idiot when it comes to politics. (Btw, I've seen him write far worse in political essays published in local punk rock magazines - the guy is completely unhinged politically.) So what? If I worried about the politics of every entertainer whose craft I enjoyed it would take my attention away from more productive things like 1) educating myself so that I'm not spouting off nonsense like Fat Mike and 2) rockin' out! OK, so he gets a few pennies from the sales. But guess what? He earned it! Not by being an obnoxious twit, but by playing bass, singing, doing really cool arrangements (my understanding is that it is he who choses the songs for MF&GG to cover) and running an independent record label that puts out a quality product at a fair price. One of the reasons the left is getting its ass kicked in this country is because they isolate themselves from everyone else, have a small tent, and can't appeal to anyone who doesn't agree with them on 95+% of everything. We win by being more open minded. (Ironic, huh?)
