"Apparently a pervert to the end, as David was ill dying, a girl was fetched to "lie with him and keep him warm." (The author of scripture made it clear that David did not "have intercourse with her.") Ha, right." Joyfull, obviously you've never been old and ill. They didn't sell Viagra in those days, and the electric blanket factory hadn't gone into full production yet.

...Bible studies at Braswell's home made her feel like an outcast.

Seems simple to me - confine 'bible' studies to the OLD testement!

Good start at a response to a classic example of the fact that anyone can get anything he wants out of the Bible — if he can bring anything he wants to the Bible.

"Homosexual unions are totally lacking in the biological and anthropological elements of marriage and family which would be the basis, on the level of reason, for granting them legal recognition. Such unions are not able to contribute in a proper way to the procreation and survival of the human race. The possibility of using recently discovered methods of artificial reproduction, beyond involving a grave lack of respect for human dignity,(15) does nothing to alter this inadequacy."
CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING PROPOSALS TO GIVE LEGAL RECOGNITION TO UNIONS BETWEEN HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS

The Ashpenaz reference is a new low.

Here are the facts: Ashpenaz was a eunuch - a royal servant living in the palace who had been neutered so he could not impregnate any member of the royal family and therefore could be trusted not to interfere with the royal line.

The king requested that some of the brightest Hebrew children be raised in the king's household by Ashpenaz.

This was a common practice at the time: the king knew that the Hebrews whom he ruled might rebel, so he was taking future Hebrew leaders and raising them in luxury so that when they grew up, they would be loyal to the kingdom and keep their fellow Hebrews in obedience.

Ashpenaz, perhaps because he was physically unable to have children himself, cared for these royal foster children as his own and felt particularly paternal toward Daniel - just as Joseph was Jacob's favorite.

The attempt to sexualize this relationship on no evidence is just ridiculous - especially since Daniel stringently followed the Jewish dietary laws at risk to his life. Why would Daniel engage in sodomy but refuse to eat meat offered to idols?

The website doesn't have that information on it now. Has it been changed? I looked in the "wayback" machine and it isn't there either!

The queers also proclaim that Jesus Christ was gay because Peter 'laid his head on his breast.'

Will God have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah?

Has anyone been able to find the "Homosexuallity and Religion" section on the UGA website? As a Georgian, I'll go to the mat on this one if necessary. Marching to the sound of the guns is just a wild goose chase if it's just an echo, though.

Makes one wonder about the degrees coming from a place like this. This writer obviously has not read the whole Book and made the correct connections and timelines about the circumstances. It is nothing but self flagelating lunacy.

Renting is what King David, Solomon his father, and the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomrah, all had in common.

Lot repented his wife did not, she is salt and so will everyone bea who sides with this Blasphemy.

Unfortunately, we have media personalities repeating this garbage now.

I saw a newsweek last week that supported the David & Jonathon homosexuality thing.

They don't understand that healthy male relationships can be deep and that they don't preclude female/male relationships and that a deep relationship doesn't have to satisfy the titillating sexual fantasies of 20th century man-buggerers.
