Thank you. I confess to my heart taking a measurable leap for joy every time a Freeper says, You're right. Right now it's one pro (me), one con. I will bet that all the replies will come down to 65% against me, 35% in agreement.

The obvious contrary example is Bork.

And don't say "but Bork didn't pass the full Senate." Of course he didn't. But how many RINOs were emboldened by Specter's disgraceful behavior on the committee? How many other Senators were turned by the effort the left ginned up against Bork during the time he was held captive before Specter?

It's not enough to say "yeah, they'll get a vote in the full Senate." The position calls for boldness.
