So Karl Rove, in what must surely be the greatest magic trick of all time, did indeed pull four million evangelicals out of his hat.

Much as the liberals and the press would like that to be true, the numbers just don't add up; evangelicals voted in the same numbers they did in 2000.

Bush won and got that big number by increasing his voters across the board; even the DLC says Bush gained votes in every single category except high school dropouts and post-graduate school voters.

They are setting the ground work to attack the evangelicals just like they did during Clinton's term in office
