GATOR NAVY
AKA
APA
LCM
LCVP
.... or is that a little outdated for you?
Served in the Army but my misspent youth was in the Navy Leagues Sea Cadets. Made it to CPO by 18, qualified as to handle LCMs/LCVPs along the way; then took and passed the Pre-Commissioing test for Ens,(all Fleet Exams and USNR controlled to fleet passing levels). Then the Army took me away. Still, that all came in handy when the Army sent me to qualify for surface transport of our gear.

The only thing that's outdated for me is the APA. None around by the time I came in. The AKAs were redisginated LKAs but I was on one. Also LSTs, and LPDs and my next ship is an LSD. That's why I'm GATOR NAVY.
