Loser Speaks Blues
The Botox didn't help enough.
George Bush was made of stronger stuff.
I never really took the lead.
George Bush is who the people need.
Windsurfing didn't help a bit.
George Bush has always been a hit.
I flipped and flopped to no avail.
George Bush should throw my butt in jail.
I leave you now to fade away.
George Bush has clearly won today.

As long as we are maing DUmmies feel like this, then I'm happy: HEAVYHEART (113 posts) Thu Nov-11-04 08:05 AM Response to Original message 25. Keep crying.. Seriously. I cried every single day after the election, until yesterday. Just when I think I'm ok with all of this, I hear a song on the radio or I read a post on DU and I start crying all over again. But I think I finally reached the acceptance stage, I hope anyway, because I didn't cry once yesterday. And I'm hoping I won't cry today. I keep telling myself that I need to move on with my life and I can't mope over this or it will destroy me.

These are the kinds of people I'm surrounded by every day in New York City. Yesterday a co-worker came up to me and said "Aren't you depressed about the election ?" (in NY, everyone assumes you're a Dem.)
I said ,"No." She was speechless.

...the majority of Americans still think the country is headed in the wrong direction (56%)." Um. Well, I'm not sure that's so uplifting, but it does indicate liberals are hardly alone in their assessment of Bush.
I'm tired of this little canard.
Perhaps someone should tell this idiot that the data she cites includes those who think the "wrong direction" in which this country is headed is due to the effluents of people like her.

The conversations I'm having are heartening, too, most of which go something like, "People may not want gay marriage, but almost 60% are okay with civil unions, and that's great progress!" Thats not true either.
The left is so out of touch they don't know that they are out of touch.

These kind of stories are starting to make me nauseous. I wish she'd go read her piece of crap sob story to a Marine in Fallujah right now or a soldier who has been wounded and is lying in the hospital at this time.
QUIT WHINING and leave already! Do they not realize the more they talk, the more us evil red states just strengthen and mobilize?

Delightful post.
"More people voted for Kerry that voted for Reagan."
That's good.
But more people voted for President Bush that voted for
Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, JQ Adams, Jackson, and Abraham Lincoln COMBINED!

But I'm not. I'm pleasantly numb, and I can tell you exactly why: rationalizations.
For the dims, rationalizations are better than sex. They must be, I haven't seen a dim go more than a week without a rationalization in my entire life.

"In short, I'm still cheery the way kids are still cheery for weeks after Christmas, because the decorations have yet to come down."
She's like a kid alright, a brat that has been told no, for the first time in her, and other uber liberals lives. Liberals have hit the deck, prone, kicking, screaming, and having a tantrum.

Or, at least, that's what most progressives are doing. Progressives: shoot up opposition campaign offices; spout lies unabashedly; assault opposition campaign workers; espouse killing unborn innocents; hate, hate, hate, hate any who oppose them.
That's not progressive. That's regressive. These persons are giving a good word a bad connotation. Why can't they just call themselves what they are, liberals?
To: presidio9
um why not just shoot yourself and get it over with?

Maybe the word for this blissful state is denial. And maybe, for the next four years, denial is the perfect place to be.And the Republicans make this possible as well. Bush will spend the next 4 years attempting to clean up as much of clinton's mess as he can. The next election may see the country doing well enough that the dems can steal the White House again.
But it's a fact that's it's easier to be a dem in a Republican administration, than a Republican in a dem administraion.

I still enjoy walking into Starbucks for my AM coffee and whistling "Oh, what a beautiful morning . . ." Still doing the happy dance too. I'll talk to anyone about Canadian immigration. It's a great place with a wonderful climate and lots of Free Stuff. The looks I get . . . tasty!

Can't we all just get aloooooooong?

"More people voted for Kerry that voted for Reagan."Ahhh... but the votes for Reagan were both legal and voluntary (not coerced).
