Olbermann's Warren Me Out (More of his conspiracy numbers not adding up)

Posted on 11/11/2004 7:47:37 AM PST by montereyp1

Moderator: I'm listing these under news because no one else is covering this fool and these are new facts and figures.

Dirty Harry writes: Olbermann's Warren Me Out

Newsweek Senior Editor Jonathan Alter was on "Countdown" last night encouraging Olbermann to keep going after the vote fraud story. "You're doing a good job, keep at it." Of course Newsweek isn't putting anyone on the the story. Newsweek isn't covering it. Newsweek understands that this is the normal course of election business in an imperfect world and that you simply can't overcome a 136,000 margin in Ohio to make Kerry president.

Poor Keith doesn't know when he's being patted on the head and patronized. Benefits of a super-ego, I guess.

Keith's latest crusade (He's running out of them so fast, he's making them up - see below) is Warren County Ohio - who locked the media out of their counting room election night claiming homeland security concerns that appear to be questionable. Olbermann finds the fact that Warren was the last county to report suspicious. In otherwords: Were they waiting to see what margin Bush needed to win? Hmmm? Well, let's do what Keith finds inconvenient; look at the facts.

This is from the Ohio Secretary of State website. (Yes, these numbers were easy to get)

In 2004 Bush received 66,523 votes from Warren County. Kerry received 25,399. A 41,124 net vote lead for the president.

So, if Warren was sitting on it's vote count to put Bush in the lead, he was already 100,000 votes up. Did they really need to risk a scandal and felony? Uhm, no.

In 2004 Bush won 62% of Warren County. In 2000 He won 53%. At worst a few thousand votes were slipped to Bush, hardly worth the risk. But there's something else Olbermann isn't telling you...

Behind those nefarious closed doors were Republicans AND Democrats counting votes.

And finally Dirty Harry writes....

Olbermann's Priorities Say A Lot

From Olbermann's blog last night:

"David Cobb of the Green Party told a California radio station late yesterday afternoon that he is “quite likely to be demanding a recount in Ohio,”

...a recount would cost the Greens around $110,000, on a basis of approximately $10 per precinct. As you’d probably guess, Mr. Cobb’s doesn’t have the money lying around - but as a presidential candidate, he does have the right. Whether or not he can raise the cash is the operative question."

So, Olbermann's willing to cough up 100k to hear O'Reilly talk dirty but not for this oh-so important national scandal that threatens to--

Forget it. Read into it what you want.

Keith Olbermann needs to be checked into the nearest mental ward for the good of our Republic.

This may be the final nail in the "Countdown" coffin. I think his ratings are so low that he is doing something -- anything at all -- to try to raise the ratings. How would YOU like to go up against O'Reilly every night (regardless of what you think about O'Reilly, by the way).

I am not an O'Reilly fan but Olbermann makes O'Reilly look like a modest self-effacing genius.

I won't watch Olbermann under any circumstances. If he had an exclusive on the end of the world I wouldn't watch.

Wrong!!!

Olbermann is awesome. Anything that ties up Democrats in whacked-out conspiracy theories is a good thing.

The only harm he can do is to the Democrats.

Great report on Keith's Folly, and Jonathan Alter's condescending "attaboy". Keith might never get around to telling viewers that all of Ohio's election commissions all have 2 republicans and 2 democrats running the show, and that includes overseeing the vote count. Ohio's Secretary of State announced that fact long before election day.

"Keep chewing that bone, Keith!" I think this is another MSNBC attempt to capture an audience. Chris Matthews couldn't do it with his verbal fist fights, so now it's Keith's turn to try.

I don't know why everyone is reacting so hostily to Mr. Olberman. I smell opportunity here. If the kook left wants to keep this stuff up, so be it. What we should be seeking to do is to usher it into the MSM. The MSM has been busy pushing the theory that the "Jesus Freaks/Right Wing Extreme" are the only reason that Bush won and are in control of the Republican party theory. The MSM has used the "values" exit polling data (which I submit was a setup from the start) to advance this theory. (has anyone seen the questions that lead to the conclusion that "values" were impoortant to the voters? Ok, maybe so, but what values? Maybe it wasn't gay marriage, but the fact that Kerry seemed to stand for every position and thus seemed to have no core values? But the MSM took it and ran with it to homophobia land.)

I say, lets spam the MSM (NBC etc.) and have them start covering these kook theories. ABC couldn't resist devoting a story to this, the candy will just be too much for the rest of the MSM to resist and may even get them addicted. OK, once the MSM is additcted, the powers to be in the Dem party will be as well and before you know it, BAM!!!! Florida 2000 all over again, thus showing the nation which party is TRULY controlled by their extreme.

Don't know about you folks, but I am getting started right now. What is Blather's e-mail address?

I don't think anyone but the tinfoil hat raving liberals believe this.

But the noise supports the 'RAT agenda item of discrediting the eVote machines. They'd like to halt Evoting's spread into their paper ballot strongholds.

Sorry, I couldn't pay attention to what they were saying. I was still trying to cope with Jonathan Alter's stark baldness after he ditched that low-ride combover. Tough to do when a TV critter.
