Follow the money:

The Badnarik and Cobb campaigns are in the process of raising the required fee, estimated at $110,000, for securing a complete recount. The campaigns are accepting contributions through their web sites. The Badnarik-Campagna website is http://www.badnarik.org. The Cobb-LaMarche website is http://www.votecobb.org

Reminds me of that Harris woman who's talking about recounts...donate to her website so she can investigate.

The first line of the article mentioned "intent"...my guess is they collect some money, but don't follow through because they won't get "enough".

Reminds me of Kerry soliciting money for his 10,000 lawyers, and it turns out there are not 10,000, only 3,500 lawyers.

But if Dems want to donate to Nader, more power to them.

If I were a dem I'd be suspicious. Seems to me that Nader was the one who told Kerry, "You haven't heard the last from me" (because of the Kerry campaigns tactics of keeping him off the ballots). Perhaps Nader wants to expose Dem fraud with Dem donated money. That would be sweet.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's why the Libertarians joined in on this- I can't imagine them wanting to put Kerry in office.

Let them spend their money! The fraud, if there is any, will be in Cuyahoga County...Kerry's county...and Bush will win by even a larger margin.

They want Blackwell to recuse himself? Blackwell is one of the few honest politicians in the State. If they want an accurate count, they'd want him kept in place.

If they want to pay the entire costs of a recount, including paying for the time of the elections officials that are doing the recount, then let them. I don't have a problem with some Ohioans making some money.

I still haven't seen any credible accounts of voting irregularities other than the one case where the card used to transfer the votes from the voting machine was faulty and recorded too many votes for Bush.

That problem was obvious, and was caught by the elections officials. Such things are why the vote counts aren't official yet.

We don't even count the overseas absentee ballots or examine the provisional ballots until tomorrow.

I'm all for accurate elections and transparency in the elections process. I just don't want to see my tax dollars being wasted on a pointless recount.

If they want to spend the money, let them. It won't change anything.

I think the results of the 2004 election are pretty clear.

That said, I support anybody who might become a big enough PITA to force the politicians to PUT A DAMN PAPER TRAIL ON ALL BALLOTS, ALREADY!!!

Propose whatever you want, but you should know, even liberals aren't zotted automatically. Some are running all over the site advocating liberal causes. One is even pretending to be a libertarian, but it's a scam.
