Democrats, like dodos, will soon be extinct
The Gainesville Times ^ | 11/12/2004 | Brian G. Fortin

Addicted to a steady morphine drip of liberal news slant, the Democrats were caught unaware and stunned like a clubbed dodo bird by the election results on Election Day.

They shouldn't have been. This has been as much a steady march to power by the Republicans over the last three decades as it has been an unrelenting retreat by the Democrats from the constituency they claim to represent.

The party of the big tent, once seen as the party of middle America and not of the elite, is now a circus tent for socialists, America-haters, multiculturalists, and left-wing conspiracy kooks. They actually seemed surprised they lost an election that was staked on America failing in Iraq. Who the heck wants to vote for us to lose?

They also bet the election on an assertion that America suffered from lost jobs at a time when unemployment was lower than in the three preceding decades. How we can have a job problem when unemployment is low is an issue only a successful attorney like soon-to-be-former-senator John Edwards could argue.

KEYWORDS:
The Democratic Party is in a shambles and is rapidly becoming extinct, like the dodos. The complete loss of the South and central states has resulted in them losing all three branches of government.

Unless they do some soul-searching and that trend is reversed, all they can do is to try harder with the same game plan. For that to succeed, everything has to go perfectly, and, we all know, if your plan depends on everything going perfectly, you are asking for a defeat.

If the democratic party were honest (pause for laughter), they would go ahead and declare themselves to be called what they really are: THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES.

Having said that, you know that NO COMMUNIST PARTY HAS EVER GIVEN UP POWER VOLUNTARILY.

The American communists control the DUmmies and will continue to control them.

I don't think the Democrats are leaving soon. There are still millions on welfare who think the 'rats are their saviours. I do hope and believe a change can take place in their lives and they see a life of dependance is not in their best interest.

Conservatives must never think they're a permanent majority. Like Karl Rove said on Meet The Press last week: Those whom the gods destroy, they first make prideful. We cannot allow pride to enter in--pride goes before a fall.

Keep working for the truth, and we'll win in the end.

Its great. After 2000 we knew they'd go even farther leftist. They did -- they got trounced. They're reaction to 2004. "We didn't get our message across." You have to love it.

Excellent. I have written much the same. They are self deluded. They believe their own lies. With out the prop of the old media monopoly, they cannot stand.

I think you are way too optimistic. Kerry came way too close to winning. The man had no core beliefs, never presented any ideas for his administration (I have a secret plan for that doesn't count) and was just an unpleasant person with anti-charisma. He should have been stomped on. I didn't expect a Reagan 84 landslide, but it should have been at least a Bush 88 comfortable victory. If two things had happened differently I believe that he would have picked up a couple more swing states and had been elected.

First, what would have happened if Rather's forgeries had been better? All it would have taken was digging up a real typewriter from some junk closet at CBS and type the "TANG memos" instead of laser printing them. There would have been no Buckhead pointing out how bad the forgeries were. That would have gotten some swing voters believing that the president was a draft dodger and didn't complete his air guard service.

Second, if the NY Times kept their trap shut and allowed CBS to release the lost explosives story on the Sunday before the election we wouldn't have had sufficient time to refute it. There would have been no arguments on whether the explosives were there at all, no time for army officers to be interviewed, and not time to point out that we had already destroyed 400,000 tons so the questionable explosives would have only been 0.1% of that anyway.

We dodged a bullet on this. Next time the main stream media will be even more biased. If you think they had their lips permanently attatched to Kerry's backside, just wait until Hillary runs. They will test their forgeries and lies instead of just expecting them to pass without question. Also the Dem vote fraud machine will be kicked up a gear in 2008. Man's eternal desire to live off someone else's labor will continue and the Democrat party will be there to feed it and feed off of it.

All true. But the shameful behavior of the MSM has further driven down their credibility. The explosives story, for example, did far less damage even in the early hours than such a story would have done 4 years ago. That's because the MSM has lost credibility. Their viewership and credibility will continue to shrink and be less of a factor in 2006 and 2008. That's because they will grow ever more transparent and desperate as they continue to lose.

Here is the problem.

The primarys are the time that the core of any given party comes out to vote. In the case of the Demoncrats this is the union thugs, pro-choice feminazis, tax everyone socialists, racist blacks, & flaming gays. They then nominate the extreme liberal candidate. This candidate in turn spends most of the election trying to redefine themselves trying to get the swing states. It worked for Clinton with a little help from third party candidates but other than that, the method is a complete failure that will continue to elect mainstream Republicans. God bless America.

Which is what they will do, but with "reverence", a few prauers, and of course some loud "amen's". They will put on another phony face and try to fool more of the sheeple next time.

Sayonara Democrats and it'll be a pleasure watching you land face down in the political cemetery... after you take a few more licks between now and 2008.

Look for the Dems to support another Ross Perot in '08. It worked for Bill, it might work for Hil. That is their best shot at getting back in the WH.
