There was little sympathy to be found for Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh on a Danish internet forum posting by Danish Muslim pundit Omar Shah. Commenting on last Tuesday's killing of van Gogh on a closed Internet forum, Omar Shah reportedly wrote: ‘Too bad that he (van Gogh) no longer has the pleasure of practicing his perverse artwork, or rather Alhamdullilalh (Thank God). May Allah swt (the Almighty) grant his 'murderer' sabr (patience in hard times).’ The translation of the above text was courtesy of daily newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad.
Dutch police have arrested several individuals with known ties to an Islamic extremist group in connection with Theo van Gogh's murder. The director was believed to have been targeted by the group after making a controversial film about the maltreatment of women in Islam.
Imam Fatih Alev runs the Danish Association of Cybermuslims (DFC), which administrates the closed mailing list that forwarded Omar Shah's remarks to some 300 online forum guests around the country.

i think a lot of people here arent being completely honest in their positions on islam. i dont appreciate being called a troll for expressing an opinion i believe is shared by most people here. we are on one side and muslims are on the other side. this includes the ones we are helping in iraq and afghanistan. there will be no peaceful palestinian state and we will likely be at war with iraq and afghanistan in 20 years if they arent still fighting a civil war there after we leave.
i support bush and the war in iraq but we are wasting our time, soldiers lives and money trying to make muslims into civilized people. its not worth it.

I live in Norway, and I was not overly surprised when an instructor at my local gym commentred to me just before the electioons that he thought President Bush was an idiot. That is pretty much orthodoxy over here. But, he went on, "Bringing democracy to the muslims, He should have flattened the whole darned country." More and more people are getting fed up.
Most rational people view the world problems as you do . I know I do.I live in the states in Northern Alabama . The latest battle in Iraq would have been better served if we had destroyed the town back to the stone age rather than risk one American life. It was not worth one of our lives. I am a former pilot in US Air Force in the cold war in 1950's and we prevented WW3 by being very active and ready to strike on perhaps one day's notice.
The world would have been much different if we had struck but we did PREVENT the BIG war.

Well said and I agree with you 1000%. The liberal left is basically working WITH the terrorists and they are all working to destroy our way of life (and some are working to destroy us and our children).

They are here to convert the Infidels of the West to Islam. It's their job (which is an excellent translation of jihad. This Jihad or "job' or "duty" is a central pillar of Islam). They are Muslims. Those Infidels who are intractable must be killed or enslaved. That's their job, too.
A moderate Muslim also believes that the Infidel must be converted and that all society must be eventually governed by Sharia. What makes them "Moderate" is that word "eventually." In the meantime, the "Moderates" are required to support those whose vision of jihad is more immediate and /or violent. The "Moderates" are Muslims and they have their job (their jihad), too.
A Muslim is not allowed to prevent another from following through with his Jihad. If an Infidel or two, or two hundred thousand, or 2 million, is killed in the process, TS.
This why you see very little reaction in the Muslim world against the terrorists. The "Moderates" keep quiet and contribute whatever support they can. They are required to do so. They are Muslims.
It's always good to see prominent Muslims speaking out about terrorism. Especially on 'closed forums' where they think the infidels won't see what they are saying.
There has been some overt acts like the shooting of the head of the publishing company who published "Satantical Verses". The publisher did survive the assasination attempt. I man mistaken for a journalist who had made fun of Islam was severely molested by a gang of Pakistan youth.
However, mostly there have been a large numbers of murders, stabbings and gang rapes perpetrated by muslims against non-muslims. If their reason was islamic? Who knows? Many of the rapes probably are related to Islamic reasoning I would venture to guess.
Just during this Ramadan, a young girls was found murdered in her dormitory room by a Somali man. And a few days ago a 15 year old girl was abducted by one Iranian and three Kosovo Albanians and gang raped for hours in my little town. This August, a Somalian man went berserk on a tram and stabbed several people, killing one boy who was blind, and thus was unable to get away.
Personally I have been beaten up by a gang of Kosovars, and a close friend of mine was raped by a Somali. Such events are too commonplace to even warrant mentioning.
Add to this that the good doctor Zawahiri tends to pop up from time to time in is tapes and threaten Norway, there is a lot of anger and resentment building up.
Won't get any argument from me, nor from Joe Farah of WorldNetDaily. My personal fear is that not many people, including our key leaders, are not following his attempted lead on this or his research on the underlying support behind the scenes from countries like Saudi Arabia and others.
I guess they're (our leaders in charge) are just trying to hold everything together, knowing that they are amongst us in significant numbers also.

Soccer/Football is a big sport in Norway, this is where I have met some Somalians from. On this level they are fine. I've come across them working at the Airport. Again, in this situation, they have been alright.

I wonder if Norway and Holland and other European countries might see the Moslems that have migrated live in more isolation and that more radical thinkings and ideas might be more possible? Out of the 80 or 90,000 that are in Minnesota, possibly a handful, maybe as small as 2 or 3 have been shown to have been involved in terrorism.
I did not need to understand Somalian, I feel one day I was out at the airport shortly after the invasion of Iraq and one man, with the Moslem type of beard was pretty adamant in a conversation they were having and I just knew they must have been speaking about the war.
Many of them are taxi drivers; one day out at the airport, the taxi parking lot they drive into, all of those taxis were being searched.
On a bit of the other side of the coin, I know that in the past 16 months, one Somali store owner and two Somali taxi drivers have been murdered and it all points to Inner City hoodlums having done this.
Forgive me for a rather long post, but it is interesting to compare similarities and differences in this. I like to give all people the benefit of the doubt but obviously here, one must be extra cautious because much is at stake.
