You guys need to relax! "Spooks" is an old racial term AND it is slang for spies. Today, the head spy and his number two resigned. CNN was just teeing up the next section before going to a break. Perfectly normal. I'm sure nobody noticed the gaff.

"Spooks" was always used in my old neighborhood as a derogatory term for blacks.

That is true, but they haven't been replaced, so there has been no "swapping".

We still don't know what story they actually followed with after commercial, so until then...
