Gunmen abducted police Col. Qassim Mohammed, took him to the Buhriz police station and threatened to kill him if police didn't surrender the station. When police refused, the gunmen tied the colonel's hands behind his back and shot him dead. More

In other news, a mutilated body of a woman was found in Fallujah. The body was disemboweled.
Why the hell is that not making front page news?

Hello iso.
The lame-stream media are cowards.
They are not fair and balanced.
They have an agenda.
Thank you for your report.
MSM are the enemy within they are just proecting their own people (the terrorists).
Don't forget they wave white flags for GI's to get into the kill zone.
And thank YOU for your report. LOL!
You're welcome.
If they ignored the UN oil-for-food scandal, mourned the death of the father of modern terrorism, and actively conspired to get a traitor into the White House, why would they care about a few atrocities such as these, committed by those with whom they sympathize?
Why is that not making front page news?
Because they don't want to make them look bad, we are the bad guys.
BTTT
If I was that sodier and I thought for one second that the wounded Iraqi was gonna explode a granade or something... I would have done the same thing.
One big problem is that the media is addicted to sensationalism and anything that makes our troops look bad is bound to make a splash. Secondly, they only care about the visual. This story is getting big play because there's a picture of it. Why they don't try harder to get pictures of terrorist atrocities, I don't know. Maybe they just choose not to show them.
What sickens me is that the media is playing this as if our troops lined up women and children in a ditch and shot them in cold blood.
Part of the problem, aside from the fact that Kevin Sites is an a**hole for even giving this film to NBC, is the way he characterized it. He called them "prisoners", in a "mosque". That's the way he termed it so that's what every other media outlet, including the Arab media, quotes. But in what way were they "prisoners"? They weren't being held or restrained by our troops in any way. That's a blatant mischaracterization. And calling it a "mosque" when it was really an outbuilding on a mosque compound, will just inflame the Arab world needlessly.
Even if Sites felt he had to run this story, there was another way to do it. He could have also included film of our troops being attacked (I'm sure there must be some film of that. Don't worry, media, we can take it) and he should have called them "wounded fighters" in a "building", which is true.
By calling them "unarmed prisoners in a mosque" he created a story that makes it sound like we rounded up civilians, put them in a mosque and executed them. Maybe that's the impression he wanted to leave. If so, I wouldn't want to be him right now if he's still embedded with our troops.
