It's hardly tin foilish to point out (R)udy's aversion to the 2nd Amendment.

Aversion? Its a calculated distortion.

LAREDO, Texas --Foreigners entering the United States in three cities were fingerprinted, photographed, and subjected to background checks Monday in a tes of a program that will eventually be extended to every land border crossing nationwide.

It's not clear to me how any of these three activities would have helped prevent the WTC attack, or any attack by religious fanatics with clean records. Does anyone who does know want to explain this?

Thanks in advance.

I never even heard about the program until I read it this morning. Only think I can think of if they have their fingerprints, their background check might pop up as being on the watch list for terrorist activity.

Mr. Ridge was thrown into a very rough situation to begin with. I'm not surprised at all.

Ridge said he was leaving a long time ago. Too much time away from his family and he's losing too much money by working for the government. He said he's got kids to educate - meaning he needs to get back into private sector and start pulling down mega-bucks.

BTW- review of 1996 shows that half of the Clinton cabinet also quit after his first term....at least, the ones that weren't under indictment or investigation for corruption.

I've seen your posts and know you're pro-life and I agree with you on Rudy. He has helped the pro-life agenda by helping Bush get reelected and he helped our country tremendously after 9/11

YAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! {8^{D~

That vapid, incompetant, political - hack stuffed - shirt bag of methane buraucrat was a total waste of space, not to mention money!
And he can take his little box of crayons for the National Panic Scale out the door with him, too.

His appointment to any position of significance was one of my major areas of disapointment in President Bush's first term.

Now about the only Member of the Cabinet that, IMHO, HAS to GO is Transportation Sect'y Norm MINETTA!
He has been a major obstruction to National security (putting PC at a much higher priority) and as a leftover of the Klinton Syndicate seems to have done everything he could to thwart both the President and the will of the American People.
Mr. President; please show that 5th collumn leftist Minetta the door! (The back door would be fine...)

I sure hope we get to keep Sect'y of Defense RUMSFELD, though. He is one of the left's favorite targets and seems to be under almost continual attack from them and the MSM; that alone shows us how much the DemRats hate him, and is sufficient evidence, as far as I'm concerned, of his effectiveness.

Hang in there, "Rummy"!

Other than AG J. ASHCROFT, all of the "retiring" Cabinet members so far will not be missed by your humble correspondant in the least!

Things seem to be looking up, eh?

He is probably too liberal to get the GOP nomination. It's too bad because he's Hillary's worst nightmare in 2008

Yeah, but her worst nightmare is native New Yorker, General Colin Powell, in 2006. The senate would be an excellent place for Powell, IMHO. He's about as far right as any Senator from New York is likely to be in this or the next generation.

Lieberman might be a possibility.

We need to leave whatever sensible democrat senators there are, in the senate to help president Bush with his judge nominations. Also, if he selects a senator, it needs to be one from a state where there's a republican governor. That way, we can gain another seat in the senate.

Thanks. It just doesn't make sense to bash everybody who agrees with you less than 100% of the time, that's not how you get things done.

"Probably too liberal!?" He and Ahnold [who can not serve] may be better looking than Hitlery but they're nightmares just the same as far as President is concerned. He'd be good for Homeland Def however.
