intresting personal story--I was living in a northern ohio town when Bush 41 was president--I had been out pheasant hunting and had my shotgun in its case lying in the open in back of my station wagon--as I turned onto main street I was motioned to the curb because President Bush was in town--in fact he walked right past my car.All the while the secret service men were talking to me about the pheasants and my bird dog.After I arrived home and was recounting this to my wife,she looked startled and said"oh my God your shotgun was in plain sight its a wonder they didn't arrest you!" I guess my purple heart license plate and my Bush sticker on the car assured them I was somewhat safe.

Maybe it was the license plate and the bumper sticker or maybe they were talking to you so they could keep an eye on you.

LOL. My guess is the shotgun in the back was why they were so friendly with you. Good to keep an eye on you and all that, but at least they handled it quite reasonably.
