the uncut version allows you to hear a bit more of the dialogue and yes, you see the Marine firing a shot. You also hear a lot of shooting outside nearby. The video also shows a Marine pointing his gun at another Iraq on the floor with his hands out as if he is surrendering. This man is not shot.

The saying 'Kill'm All and Let God Sort'm Out' is not just military bravado. You take no chances in battle. When you are involed in a fire fight you make sure any enemy combatants behind you are dead. Injured enemy combatants are just as dangerous (if not more so) than non injured. If you do not have time to secure the prisoner you shoot and kill him.

Good for the Marine! I'd rather have our boys kill some unarmed terrorists instead of them pulling a sneak attack on us. Who knows, maybe the terrorist had a grenade hidden behind him and was planning to detonate it when the soldiers got close.

Does anyone think that this couldn't happen?

They should promote that Marine for paying attention to his surroundings and possibly saving the lives of his fellow Marines!

Semper Fi!

Maybe the Marine only killed the man who murdered Margret Hussien? It is food for thought, or maybe the women who had her arms and legs cut off? It could be him.......

Thanks for the post finnman69. Very compelling that the man who extends his hands in surrender is not shot. Seems that, as always, context is critical...what did the Marine see or what was he thinking when he chose to shoot that single terrorist?

I support our guys and won't lose any sleep over one more dead terrorist.

Thanks for the logo Safrguns!

Find out who that Marine is;

Give him a medal!

(Maybe one of those Kerry threw over the White House fence?)

The guy who knows the internationally flippin' recognized gesture for SURRENDER seems to have lived thru this lil' "encounter".

Q: What do you call a Marine killing an injured Iraqi terrorist?

A: A start

I dare the left to make a deal of this. If they thought they lost their a$$ last election the backlash of jumping on this Marine would haunt them for years

Good job finding this.

It didn't change my mind. The guy did what his combat-honed instincts told him to. That's what combat is about.

I saw the uncut video yesterday and confirm what you posted. IIRC, the enemy terrorist (let's call them what they are - soldier is way too dignified for these bast@#ds)who was shot was lying underneath the window on the right side of the frame. The Marine doesnot approach too close and he calls out to his comrades that he (the terrorist)is faking and that he can see him breathing. Then he shoots. Once, IIRC.

But the video clip that is playing today, the scene shifts to the center of the room and the the Marine is directly over the supposed victim (muzzle about a foot from his head) near some sort of support post. (Was this the surrendering man who was NOT shot?) There is just the "he's faking" comment by the Marine and then multiple reports of the rifle.

Has this video been doctored? It would be pretty easy to lift the audio from the actual shooting and slide it to the images of surrendering terrorist to make it appear as if the Marine shot a person who was clearly surrendering. There isn't alot of detail in the footage other than gross shapes so you have to impute everything from the audio track.

If it was doctored, by whom? The reporter? Or do we have another "Memogate," with some left wing MSM producer/editor "enhancing" the news value of the images.

God help MSM if this video has been doctored.

The Marine was completely justified. As he said, the terrorist was, "fu**ing faking that he's dead." He could have been faking his death in order to sneak attack moments later, or he could have had explosives strapped to him meant for whoever comes to pick up his body. Remember, they believe that killing "infidels" gets them into heaven. It's also worth noting that the other terrorist in the clip wasn't "fu**ing faking that he's dead" and was spared.

Our Soldiers don't need to worry about how things look.
I've confidence this is justified and there are measures in place for those who 'go off' if that's the case. Afterall, they take care of each other. That's good enough for me.
God Bless Our Soldiers.
