the uncut version allows you to hear a bit more of the dialogue and yes, you see the Marine firing a shot. You also hear a lot of shooting outside nearby. The video also shows a Marine pointing his gun at another Iraq on the floor with his hands out as if he is surrendering. This man is not shot.

A point the MSM (and most others) seem to be missing: The "innocent insurgent" (thanks, Chris Matthews) had already committed one war crime by fighting from a Mosque (protected place). Perhaps it was there and I didn't notice but did anyone hear the expletives on the tape that was broadcast. If not, the tape was sanitized. The expletives might help underscore the stress and urgency which the Marine was experiencing at the time.
