the uncut version allows you to hear a bit more of the dialogue and yes, you see the Marine firing a shot. You also hear a lot of shooting outside nearby. The video also shows a Marine pointing his gun at another Iraq on the floor with his hands out as if he is surrendering. This man is not shot.

A point the MSM (and most others) seem to be missing: The "innocent insurgent" (thanks, Chris Matthews) had already committed one war crime by fighting from a Mosque (protected place). Why should the marine, who lost a buddy the day before to a war criminal booby-trapping a body, NOT suspect that the "innocent insurgent" was in the act of committing another WAR CRIME by pretending to be dead and using THAT protected status to do harm to him or his buddies?????

Who are these idiots that think war is touchy-feely? This young man did the right thing, IMO. Had the tables been turned, there would be no question about the outcome.

I know the MSM is trying to make OUR marine the bad guy, but I doubt if most people are buying it. Adults understand this isn't Tiddlywinks.

From the video.

"There're on the wall, far right."

"Hey, whose in there?"

"These are the wounded that were never picked up".

Took care of that problem. Do we really expect our troops to be treated any better?

Thanks for posting this, finnman.

PING to the whole video, guys it's a must watch.

The media doen't show the whole thing, surprise, surprise.
There is another guy they don't shoot, holding his arm up.

This whole thing is BS. This Marine will be exonerated, I believe. He did nothing wrong.

Screw the liberal hyenas for their bias against our soldiers. I used to say that libs weren't our enemy, but no longer.

They are as big a danger to our guys, as are these terrorists. It clear to me whose side they are on.

Ragheads are really asking for it.

They are going to get more than they bargained for.

If we can bomb German civilians into smithereens and nuke japs, annihlating a race of uluating subhuman beasts seems more of a public service to the human race than anything else.

Islamonazis living on borrowed time.

And so is the leftist media

"He's [expletive] faking it, he's [expletive] faking it",

Perhaps it was there and I didn't notice but did anyone hear the expletives on the tape that was broadcast. If not, the tape was sanitized. The expletives might help underscore the stress and urgency which the Marine was experiencing at the time.

Forgive me if this is obvious to everyone else.

"He's [expletive] faking it, he's [expletive] faking it", then he shoots the soldier.

The piece of human debris the marine short was not a soldier. He was not wearing a uniform or under the command of a country.

He's a terrorist, which should be shot on sight.

let me guess, the video had "CBS" stamped in the corner (in times new roman typeface, of course), and the marine doing the shooting turned out to be dan rather in disguise?

I heard a GOOD point on the radio today.

A caller pointed out that the marine couldn't help but know the photog was behind him.
I do NOT believe he would have shot if he didn't feel threatened.

It is important to keep in perspective that there have been other incidents in Fallujah in recent days where terrorists have faked injuries and then attacked coalition soldiers.

I don't need to see the video. I have complete faith in the fact that this young Marine did his job, and did it well. The left is trying to destroy the military and I am not going to play into their traitor hands.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

John McRae
