Track Your Subject Covertly With...
GPS-Web™ Vehicle Tracking Systems
...Installs In 30 Seconds Without Vehicle Entry!

Exclusive GPS-Stealth™ Antenna (Patent Pending). All other GPS antennas require visible installation or time consuming installation. The GPS-Web™ simply hides under the vehicle magnetically, in seconds. The GPS-Stealth™ Antenna does not require direct line of sight or conspicuous and erratic performing "edge-of-vehicle" mounting in order to communicate with GPS satellites. Only the Patent Pending GPS-Stealth™ Antenna system utilizes an adaptive learning algorithm which allows the GPS antenna to be hidden up to 28" underneath the vehicle while achieving over 90% of the efficiency of a traditional roof mounted GPS antenna. The system operates day and night in all weather conditions. The GPS-Web™ can also be permanently installed in a vehicle and powered directly from vehicle power, if desired.

Longest Battery Life in the industry. 14 months total time is provided to accumulate 48 hours of actual driving time before recharging. Extra battery packs may be purchased and used for quick field swaps, or they may be used to extend total tracking time. The GPS-Web is designed to handle constant long term tracking, not just occasional location requests.

Low Operating Costs. Unlimited use for $44 per month (after initial $2596.00 purchase of GPS-Web). No contracts. No activation fees. Pay only for the months you use. Absolutely no cell phone accounts, cell activation, or cell configuration required. There are no roaming charges incurred when tracking cross country trips.

Greatest Coverage Area. The GPS-Web operates anywhere in USA, Mexico, and Canada where any cell towers exist. Other systems are reliant on the limited coverage areas of specific cellular phone services. The GPS-Web will automatically work in every city and most out-skirts without any configuring.

No down loading! Real-Time And Historic locations are displayed on maps and/or street address reports accessible from any computer in the world that is equipped with an Internet connection. No special software or hardware required. Each location report reaches your computer in less than 4 seconds.

The per-mile tax will be in addition to the per-gallon taxes and sales taxes on those taxes. This is California, after all, and it is anaethema to the Damnocrats to repeal a tax.

Reread your own post. The GPS satellites aren't doing anything except telling this device where it is.

"The GPS-Web operates anywhere in USA, Mexico, and Canada where any cell towers exist. Other systems are reliant on the limited coverage areas of specific cellular phone services."

That's what I said - the tracking device locates itself using GPS, and then makes a cellular phone communication to somebody else. No information is broadcast to the satellite.

Do you have a better way hidden up your sleeve of paying for road construction and maintenance?

The likely trick is they'll reduce the gas tax for a short time to make the mileage tax lesss offensive. Then, once people get used to paying the mileage tax, they'll raise the gas tax to where it was before.

>> Cheap (low-tax) gas for visitors

Which is exactly the argument that will used to justify keeping the old gas-tax system along with the new system. The state couldn't let the out-of-staters drive in California without paying their fair share.

Actually, the Vehicle Excise tax was gradually reduced by law then reinstated by Grey Davis just before the recall election. One of Arnold's first acts was to get rid of it and to can the head of the DMV for not being quick enough in sending out refunds to those that had already paid the higher fees.

Can you imagine getting your "mileage tax" bill in the mail?

I LOVE this idea!! Would we pay our mileage taxes by the quarter, like estimated federal income tax?? When the public has to fork over several hundred dollars in mileage tax a few times a year they will realize they are being over-taxed and revolt.

An article I read on this says the state would repeal the 18 cents per gallon excise tax on gasoline. They don't mention the sales tax that adds another 18 cents at the pump.

Next time you are at the pump, consider that with the California excise tax, the California sales tax and the federal excise tax, the total tax per gallon is 56 cents.

On a 16 gallon fill up, $8.96 of the a $39.20 fill up (at 2.46/gal) is for taxes.

No, it wasn't because McClintock was too conservative. It was because as a legislator, he's been a loner, a maverick, in many ways a "caucus of one." A governor has to build a team, build an consensus on things such as the budget, and lead -- all things McClintock has never given evidence of his ability to do. McClintock's been a great spokesman for his positions -- he just isn't "governor" material.

They haven't done any real road construction in CA for many years. It is just an excuse for more taxes and less privacy. It's a socialist's dream!

Gee, Maybe they could tax the gasoline by the gallon so those who drive the most miles, thus using the most gas would pay the most in taxes.

Of course they will much prefer to install sensors in/on the cars and roadways and add a thick layer of bureaucracy to the whole thing.

Road construction and maintanence is already paid for. But crooked politicians route the money into the general fund and use it for pet social programs that guarantee the extremist voting blocks will put them back in office the next election.

If citizens did their civic duty and made sure the money was spent where its supposed to be, we'd still have the best highway and road system in the nation.

However, because people see a pothole, they automatically think we must pay new taxes, because they have been brainwashed that way. California has a budget of billions of dollars a year. While 60% goes to education, there is still plenty of money for roads. Our governor would rather spend the money on buying land for "conservancies", taking it off tax roles and exacerbating the situation.
