Queen Urges Thais to Help Govt. Fight Muslim Unrest

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Revered Queen Sirikit has urged all Thais to work with the government in its fight against the violence in the largely Muslim south, where almost 500 people have been killed since January. Queen Sirikit, speaking after a wave of attacks on Buddhists in the troubled south, said she had asked the southern army commander to train female Buddhists to use guns and she herself would learn soon.

Wherever there are Muslims there is trouble for the non-Muslims in the area. All around the globe lately they're killing non-Muslims, in Thailand, China, Philippines, Holland, Kashmir, Iraq, Indonesia, the Balkans, Sudan. Wonder who's gonna be next on their 'infidel' hit list?

It's really surprising to me that the non-Muslim world hasn't come to grips with this reality yet and become united to fight against this epidemic of Islamic violence.

I listened to Queen Sirikit this morning and it would seem that the Muslims have finally broken their pick with the royal family. She told of a tiny child who, seeing the terrorists behead his Grandfather, as them to reattach the head so he could have his Grandfather back.

At least 30 people, almost all of them Buddhists, have been killed in apparent revenge for last month's deaths of the 85 Muslims.

This is only partially true. Before the 85 Muslims were killed, some 440 people, mostly Buddhist, were killed. The Southerm Muslims hid the murders, thus the frustration of the authorities resulted in the 85 Muslim killed.

Some 108 terrorists were killed after they unwisely attacked a police station and a military post. When they saw things were going badly for them, they hid in a Mosque assuming no one would tough them there. They judged poorly as the Thais stormed the Mosque killing all inside. The "international community" deemed this to be a horrible attocity.

The International Community believes the only truely human people in Thailand besides the Europeans are the Muslims. "Idolitors" are expendable in the greater world war against America and all free societies.

I would respectfully ask that you withdraw that comment.

It may have escaped your notice but the 'parasite' Queen Elizabeth has ordered some of her British and Australian forces into Iraq and Afghanistan, and additionally some of her Canadian forces into the latter.

Her Majesty is not a parasite, and I would expect a higher respect for allies from any real conservative, especially as British conservatives are utterly united behind the monarchy.

I know Thailand well. HRM is quite a woman, the wife of a great King and the mother and grandmother of a fine family. The article doesn't do justice to the reverence with which the Thai people hold the Royal Family (with good reason, I might add). I suspect the Thais will heed her call and neither the Royal Thai military nor the Thai people should be underestimated when it comes to the defense of their country and culture.

The latest casualty came Wednesday when a 50-year-old Buddhist villager was shot dead by a gunman on a motorcycle while riding home in Pattani province.
