The ACLU has the goal of destroying the very pillars that have supported and fostered the most successful governmental experiment in the history of the world...The United States of America. I went through the Boy Scout program and achieved the rank of Eagle. It was one of the great influences on my life with regard to being a good citizen of this great country. The ACLU should be identified as the evil and destructive organization it is. The liberal judiciary will try keep them viable, but the concern and influence of us "Red Staters" surely will put an end to these constant attacks on the basics that make me proud to be called an American.

I am more than happy to do.
Anyone can and should contribute AND
write/phone/e-mail Pentagon your opinion.
We can't let these leftists destroy a moral based worthy traditional American institution as the Boy Scouts........if we do what is next??

Bush has shown no interest in fighting the culture war, with the exception of gay marriage, because there was political gain to be made on that issue. that's OK with me, but all I am saying is that we have to acknowledge this.

You need to go read the article Farah linked in his column. Emphasis is mine:

The Pentagon denied Boy Scout sponsorship violated its rule against support of non-federal organizations but agreed to post a warning worldwide, the Associated Press said.

Seems like the Pentagon believes there's been sponsorship.

"If our Constitution's promise of religious liberty is to be a reality, the government should not be administering religious oaths or discriminating based upon religious beliefs," Adam Schwartz of the ACLU of Illinois said in a statement. "This agreement removes the Pentagon from direct sponsorship of Scout troops that engage in religious discrimination."

It seems to me that the ACLU wants to prevent US military personnel from even being involved in their free time, because it's a case of a federal employee administering a religious oath.

Farah's right, it's time to fight. Start with Rumsfeld, he can see reason.
