The left will just get crazier and there will be just more to talk about. I am sure there are no conservative talk show hosts that were praying for Kerry to get elected.
The left is desperate and wants this to happen but MSM is the one's that will continue to lose viewers and subscribers.
By the Compost's logic, liberal talk radio should be thriving.
Yeah, I guess the 60 million people who voted for Bush are all going to turn off their radios and just go watch CBS from now on.
I'm surprised they didn't use a fat pic of Rush.
A better story would be how liberal radio, after all the hoopla, is now DEFUNCT.
The more you spank the red diaper baby, the more it balls up its little fists and screams. Years of mindless fun for me.
This article is the antithesis of the truth. Liberals go nuts in times of conservative control. The chronicals of these wackos makes Rush et all the more entertaining and informative.
It's especially funny to see this story in the Post. Conservative talk radio is going strong in Washington. including G. Gordon Liddy's "Radio Free D.C." show that originates there, Laura Ingraham who lives there, and local WMAL drive-time host Chris Core who has become much more conservative in recent years and seen his ratings skyrocket. WMAL tried to have some liberal hosts on its morning show and the ratings tanked. These shows have grown even during the first Bush term. I can't fathom how anyone could have been stupid enough to write this article, except for a massively wishful thinking Post writer.
Typical Washington Post B-S...Sometimes that paper is only good to wrap a fish in.
Someone else who Doesn't Get It.
As I keep having to point out: There definitely is no media bias, whatsoever!
oh yeah so right NOT!! Scarborough needs to shut up.. Sean Hannity was one of the good ones taking up for the young marine after that left wing anti war "embedded" filmed that terrorist being killed and caused all that grief for that brave marine...and what about the Boy Scouts?? He did a good show on that and so did OReilly...I guess those things dont matter to Scarborough and his clueless bunch on MSNBC... sometimes I think if it wasnt for our "friends" we'd have no enemies....sheesh
Rush has said many times that when Libs are out of power, they get funny.
But I think Rush's show has evolved to a point where his media analysis is the strongest part of his game, and I hope he continues to hammer this.
Remember when he had audio of all those lapdogs using the word "Gravitas" right out of the DNC talking points? I think that was an example of what only he can and will do.
"Right-wing media"?? No, the left-wing media matured and prospered for 40+ years because of a near-monopoly on distribution of their product. The advent of a tremendous talent (Rush Limbaugh) and increasing ease of distribution (the Internet/cable and satellite) of ALTERNATIVE product is creating a new way for thinking people to get information.
Washington Post pundits may not like it, but there is NOTHING they can do about it.
This is a new world, and you guys are losing.
As long as the MSM continues spinning garbage, the right wing talk show will reign supreme and FR and conservatives will get more and more recognition and listeners, viewers, members and contributors.
BTW, I first read an article like this when Bush I defeated Dukakais and they said that Rush, who was on for one hour at that time and an additional hour or two on WABC, would have nothing more to talk about.
Usually, the libs have been talking up this election as being very close ("only 51-48%", "divided country", etc.) Now, suddenly, and oh so conveniently, to bolster the wishful thinking of this so-called writer, the popular vote margin-of-victory is quoted. Not even glass is as transparent as this doof.
Wait, I thought this was the gloating thread. Sorry. ;)
I guess he hasn't been reading the papers or paying attention to CNN and MSNBC.... the folly of the Lefty Libs provides Rush and Laura et al with endless material to mine.
Paul, I think you should be examined for PEST, then de-loused, er, treated ASAP!
Typical Washington Post B-S...Sometimes that paper is only good to wrap a fish in.
...not really. I ate a trout wrapped in the Post once and got diarrhea.
