What's most interesting about the Oliphant cartoon is that it makes absolutely no political commentary whatsoever. This exact cartoon could be run about any presidential appointee for any cabinet position. As to the dorky little penguin in the bottom, which is Oliphant's trademark (as opposed to something like talent), all he's saying is he didn't vote for Bush.
I find this cartoon to be hysterically funny, as it's the Washington Post equivalent of a kid spray painting "teacher stinks" on the side of the gym.

My Lord! This is what Rush was talking about. I looked in my op-ed section of my paper to see if it was in it and if it was they were going to hear from me!
