We figured, since she considered the allied forces in the war on terrorism a "Coalition of Idiots", then the "Coalition of the Wise" must be comprised of those opposed to the War On Terror.

My parents were married (even BEFORE my conception, which might be a novel concept to your liberal constituency) and my IQ allowed me to be a member of MENSA, since it is within the top 2 percent of the human population. I am not a member of mensa, never having taken the test, but I do have an IQ of 141, which is not bad. I too think I am not an idiot or a bastard and I also voted for W and would again if he could run. According to the Economist, Canada is the 9th largest producer of oil at 2,763,000 barrels a day. We produce 7,177,000 barrels a day and are the second greatest producer in the world. Saudi Arabia is #1 but we don't lag it by much as they produce 8,768,000 barrels a day. Russia is #3 at 7,056,000.

On the consumption side, we are the world's greatest consumer at 19,633,000 a day while Canada only consumes 1,941,000, making them consumer #10 and giving them a daily surplus of 82,200 barrels.

We can more than make up the difference with Alaskan reserves, as, according to Jewish World Review (March 14, 2002), ANWR alone has 10.3 billion barrels of reserves. This is more than three times America's annual oil production.

Some good humour but I have a serious question for all the other Canadians on this thread - but of course anyone can chime in as this is the place where good ideas take root. As we know, if Canadians were voting in the past election, Kerry would have picked up about 80% of the votes. It's not too hard to envision how the trip of the President to Canada will go. 1. When the President addresses the H of C, everyone will be on pins and needles to see if that idiot Parrish pulls a stunt like that kleptohomomaniac Robinson did years ago when President Reagan was speaking (the one where he asked if 'there was an echo in the room somewhere'). My bet is that she will in fact do something that stupid - all eyes will be on her and she 'won't disappoint'. I've done my part as a good Canadian to send a letter to our Prime Minister to please boot her out but the reality is that Martin is clinging on to power by such a small thread that he can't afford the loss of even one member (another story but does anyone know what the process is of recalling a Member of Parliament in Canada?). 2. The left wing nuts in Canada have been planning their protests for months. They will be out in droves - not just Ottawa but in other cities too. This will get lots of attention 3. The leftist Canadian media will be playing up the protests big time - and the rest of the time they will have all the left-wing media commentator type nuts doing the Bush bashing thing. 3. The US lamestream will of course pay no attention at all to the visit (unless Parrish of course does a total right off the deep end protest right in the House during the President's speech). What little time they will give the visit will of course be concentrating on highlighting the protests. Sad to say but there will be no balancing views anywhere to be found from anyone.

So here is my question. How do the voices get heard that don't agree? How do those that are thankful that there were enough people in the US that saw the light (and put Bush in for another 4 years) express that thought - and how is it possible to do so in a way that let's President Bush know that there are many Canadians that support him, pray for him and are thankful for what the US has done in going into Iraq? Thankful that the adults are again in charge of the White House. I hate to say it but I don't think that we can trust our Conservatives in government to get that message out. Gosh, if I had the time I would like to go to Ottawa and unfurl the biggest banner from the highest building telling President Bush how thankful we are for his leadership and the fact that he is the President. There needs to be some grass roots ideas for supporting the president on this trip beyond the simple letters to the editor. Any ideas? Who wants to join me in protesting the protesters. I realize that it's lonely out there but for crying out loud, there has to be some balance to this trip. It would just bother the crap out of me if President Bush came to this country and all he saw were protesters, a few weak-handed handshakes by the Liberals and the New Democrats in Parliament, a tad better from the Conservatives. What a sick impression he would take away all because there was no voice or motivation to express their opinion from those that aren't part of the brainless left.
