In the past, I have had recruiters ping me about job opportunities in The People's Republic of Kalifornia.
It is hard for me to be polite and not laugh at them, but I graciously inform them of my reasons.
I had a job interview in Salinas in 2002. The day before the interview I looked at houses for sale. The day of the interview the HR person asked me if "I was ready to move to California". My answer: "NO!!!"
I didn't receive a job offer.
