Clinton Rips Media, Ken Starr After Opening of Presidential Library By James Jefferson Associated Press Writer
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - In a prime-time television outburst, Bill Clinton ripped old nemesis Kenneth Starr and what the former president portrayed as a gullible media eager to report every "sleazy thing" leaked from a prosecutor bent on bringing him down. The exchange came in an interview with ABC news anchor Peter Jennings that aired Thursday night, hours after Clinton opened his $165 million presidential library. Clinton blasted Starr and spoke disdainfully of a national media that he suggested was complicit in a scheme to ruin his presidency.
"No other president ever had to endure someone like Ken Starr," Clinton said. "No one ever had to try to save people from ethnic cleansing in the Balkans, and people in Haiti from a military dictator that was murdering them, and all the other problems I dealt with, while every day an entire apparatus was devoted to destroying him."
The former president said he would go to his grave at peace that, while he had personal failings, he never lied to the American people about his job as president.
Clinton added that he doesn't care about what his detractors think about him. Jennings then said it seemed to him that Clinton did care.
The former president responded, "You don't want to go here, Peter. You don't want to go here. Not after what you people did and the way you, your network, what you did with Kenneth Starr. The way your people repeated every, little sleazy thing he leaked. No one has any idea what that's like."

His voice was subdued, but his eyes were blazing, and his finger was pointing.
Anger and bitterness are consuming him.
The quick intensity of Clinton's reaction makes me wonder if there were any brain effects from his recent surgery.
Things were systematically leaked which Clinton knew, and which Clinton knew would become public knowledge, on a carefully orchestrated schedule to do minimum damage to Clinton. And just as systematically, Clinton blamed Starr for illegally leaking the information.At the time the claims that Starr was leaking had surface plausibility, even though the leakes were not timed for maximum damage to Clinton. But of course the "leakees" who were publishing the leaks knew who in fact was leaking, and they reported the leaks and the Clinton complaints about the leaks without admitting that they knew who the leaker really was.
But notwithstanding the contemporaneous stonewalling of journalism, the Ken Starr was subsequently tried and acquitted of the charge of leaking confidential grand jury information. IOW, Clinton had leaked the info and made meretricious accusations against Starr - and journalism knew it, and enabled it.
The impeachment is a festering wound for ol' Bent One, isn't it? I predict that it will continue to eat at him.
It is eating him up and will do so for years to come, I hope.
I also saw the clip on Fox. Reading the quote just does not convey the hatred and rage he was exuding from every pore.
He really does look like he thinks he should be King. I keep thinking of the story The Emporers Clothes. None of the media ever challenged him and when Jennings did, boy did he realize how naked he was!!
I have heard quite a few people say that Hillary will be the Dem candidate in 2008 and everyone knows it will be the ultimate revenge for the #l narcissist in the world perhaps, to once again walk into the Oval Office and give the Ken Starrs of the world him middle finger.

This guy is a pure sociopath, unable to admit he screwed up.
Until a person takes his last breath, it's never too late to pray for that kind of conversion. Obviously, clintbilly hasn't either drawn his last breath, nor has he repented.

Clinton is clearly bitter knowing his "legacy" has been tarnished by his reputation as a lying sleaze.
Jennings said he was rated even lower than Nixon in this respect! LOL
I think Bubba is back on crack again.
I guess he will die a bitter broken old man. If he doesn't learn to keep his mouth shut, he is likely going to find that Hillary will figure out a permanent way to silence him so he doesn't create spouse campaign problems for her.

He is very bitter and the video showed it in great detail, you could see his pain over this.
