Why don't you try again? (this time perhaps hitting the mark if you're gonna try tit-for-tat). Had I just wanted to try & highlight crime, I would have pointed to Indianapolis' highly unusual high rape rate. But I wasn't focusing on generic or even sensationalistic crime.
Instead I was focusing on the sANCTIONED showcases by the Indiana cultural elite--namely those warmly embraced by your collegiate upper etchelon & the alumni that also supported the likes of Bobby Knight & Alfred Kinsey.
There is a big difference between the Indianapolis authorities & the Colorado authorities treating rape as rape & murder as murder vs. the Indiana folks who treated a coach being abusive of his players as tolerable & a so-called researcher who linked up w/pedophiles who would abuse babies & small boys 24/7 & then have a "prestigious" university embrace it.
I guess if you don't know the difference, that provides even further commentary on the regional culture you live in.
As for the current case, there ya have it yet again. The Pacers' administration whining over "too severe" of an NBA disciplinary matter [too many suspended games, sniff, sniff] when had what occurred in any other setting, those haymaker-happy guests of Michigan would have been posting bail.
So, once again, instead of fessing up & showing the nation & our young people responsibility & accountability, the Pacers tacitly try to reduce the consequences of their actions. Hence, they partially sanction their sin...
