I agree with you. But here is the dilemna as I see it:

Nobody likes McCain. Most of us like Guiliani, but disagree with his politics. Cheney has too many health issues and absolutely says he won't run. Jeb Bush says he won't run either. Condi Rice has never run for any office and I suspect doesn't want the scrutiny. So, who else is there to run who has any chance of beating Hitlery?

Can't we just relax and enjoy our victory at least until the first of the year? There is probably someone out there that we don't even know about that would make a great candidate. I believe that the last two elections were Divine intervention, and that will happen again.

INteresting comment. YOu are right, but there are obvious reasons for it... even though McCain is an 85% ACU conservative and solid on fiscal responsibility, he is an annoying media hound who hurts the cause ... which is EXACTLY why the MSM loves him. He'll bluntly tell other Republicans to 'shove it' when he feels like it.

Guliani OTOH, has been an incredibly awesome mayor in the toughest venue in the world - NYC. if you can make it there yu can make it anywhere. he's been called 'fascist' by the looney liberals of New York, that counts for something. but he's divorced and has a liberal social agenda, not a good bio to rouse the base with.

IMHO both candidates are flawed wrt running for president.
