I, personally, hope the Dems keep this kind of behavior up for the next couple of years.
Their black base will further erode and we might see a 60 vote advantage in the Senate after 2006 elections.
Republicans are not empowering blacks. Republicans merely set the stage for people to empower THEMSELVES.
I'm gonna quibble a bit here. These attacks are not "racially motivated" (i.e. designed to "put down" one race or another). They are POLITICALLY MOTIVATED (socialist on conservative) attacks using racist symbols, which, to my mind, is even MORE despicable.

A few years ago, when David Duke, he of the KKK, was in the news, I believe he was running for office, I saw a cartoon that showed a coin, and on one side was Louis Farakhan's (sp?) face, and on the other was David Duke's face, and the caption was "two sides of the same coin". Racism is racism, no matter who it is directed towards.
It looks more and more like the Dems have little left to offer the American people except for hatred, spite, bitternes and jealousy.
What a shame this degeneracy had to happen to the party of JFK, FDR, Wilson and Andrew Jackson!

Although I see these actions and cartoons as "racist", (how would I know, I'm a white guy), I think it goes beyond racist intent.
It seems to me to be the lib's desperate attempt to demonize her, strip her of stature and minimize her, all for the purposes of setting the stage to fight President Bush against her appointment to Secretary of State.
Oh, it wont work because she is too strong, but that is what I think these freaks are actually trying to do.
Racist liberals, like the aforementioned nutjobs in the article, simply cannot comprehend that any individual who is categorized as non-white could make it without help from all of the "wonderful" liberal gizmos that have been perpetrated on "minorities" in the past forty years. "How dare Condi Rice think for herself!" they mutter to themselves. "Why doesn't this obviously easily led darkie know her place?" The libs are utterly unable to realize that they are the new racists replacing the Bull Connors and the Theodore Bilbos of old.
