A group of Maryland lawmakers yesterday said they will file an appeal to oppose an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit that aims to force Baltimore and four counties to accept same-sex "marriages." "We have asked to be permitted to intervene so that we might be able to put out a serious and truthful defense of Maryland's marriage statute," said Delegate Donald H. Dwyer Jr., Anne Arundel County Republican....

Is it just me, or has the ACLU been especially busy in the past couple of weeks. This is about the fourth evil thing I've heard it doing since the election.
In any case, I'd like to thank Anti-Christian Lawsuits Underground for continuing to frighten Middle America and marginalizing the liberal agenda. Seriously, are the TRYING to get the federal marriage amendment passed?
Do that and while they're at it tell the Maryland State Police that any ACLU lawyer goes straight to the State Line with stern instructions not to set foot either by phone, email, fax, US Mail, body or any other means, back in the state.
No One at the executive level of the ACLU has ever been a:
1. Military veteran
2. Christian
3. Boy or Girls Scout.
Just anti-American lawyers.
They're just warmming up for their traditional anti-Christmas display lawsuits. Every year like clockwork we can count on the ACLU to sue a couple of towns for daring to aknowledge the Christmas season.
Oh man. The Land of Peasant Living just got a little more unpleasant.
Nothing to see here folks; just the Anti Christian Liberal Union up to their usual stunts.
Move along...
Once again, leftists are trying to use the courts to impose on the public what they couldn't accomplish in the voting booth.
ACLU = The politically correct grinch who tries to steal Christmas.
What will they try next, outlawing Easter eggs?
----Is it just me, or has the ACLU been especially busy in the past couple of weeks-----
I've been wondering the same thing...
it is time to call them out and list their members, their sponsors and go after them....
The ACLU filed in July, saying Maryland marriage laws are unconstitutional, and our elected delegates to the Maryland General Assembly are having to sue the state to be included as defendants to the suit so they can defend our state! The delegates have already been turned away once by our courts and are having to appeal. If this isn't a dictatorship by the courts, what is?
Where have you learned that, Squirt-Gun? Do you have a URL for us showing this information?

Here's a "Stop the ACLU Coalition" on the web. It has lists of the ACLU suits in progress, chiefly trying to harm the Boy Scouts, overturn marriage, insert gay education in schools and removing the Ten Commandments anywhere they find them:

The ACLU will sue for any billable hours...it's all about money..not rights...period end of it!
Keep it up guys. Republicans will just have to mention four tiny little letters for a supermajority in congress in 06.
It's time for us to do to the letters "ACLU" what we did to the word "liberal."
Might be time for a legislature to look their co-equals on the bench in the eye and tell to drop dead.
Here's another list of ACLU atrocities. It makes you feel you are living in Germany in 1939. Have a look. Go to the link, and scroll down to Post #13:

The judge who denied the Maryland delegates an entry into the case is M. Brooke Murdoch. Feminist? who knows. She said the rights of the elected representatives of the people of Maryland were not as pressing as the urgency of the gay and lesbians in the complaint.
The legislators are representing the majority voters who put them in office, and the handful of gay and lesbian complainants are trying to change the 5,000-year history of marriage, but Judge Murdoch thought the complainants' rights were more urgent. It boggles the mind.
