If this is such a "hoary old canard", then why does the National Academy Of Sciences refuse to refute the evidence presented to them?

As well, why has there been no published, peer-reviewed and peer-passed refutation?

As well, it actually looks like the die-hard evolutiuonists (you) don't like unrefuted evidence, which is contrary to their worldview.

The research has been done. For over 15 years. All that is needed now is for the moronic evolutionists, quite possibly even the ones at the Nat. Acad. of Sciences, to finally even try and refute what has been sent their way, like the article says.

Their(NAS)avoidance speaks volumes.

I don't plan to use the ping list for this thread. It's like pyramid power, crop circles, astrology, ancient astronauts, psychic channeling ...

How do we know they refuse to refute the evidence? Just because you assert that to be the case? I just did a google search on Polonium Halos, and I came up with quite a few refutations. You might have done well to have done such a search before posting this.

Ah, the central tenets of modern American "popular science."

It is a not important how old or young the Earth may or may not be. IMHO.

Do not be concerned with endless genealogies. Also, the universe has no middle and no edge.

The exchanges with ICR are actually incredibly revealing, especially considering that ICR is a YEC organization itself.

This stuff is too goofy for ICR. That's not easy to do.

So give us an estimate...The earth is what....3000 years old?

Nonsense. The Earth is about 300 years old. Evidence of the so-called "Precambrian" or "Tudor" periods are little more than shameless lies by the evolutionists.

The fossil records are not wrong, just the interpretation of them.

I haven't seen any peer-reviewed refutation of the notion that the world is supported by a giant elephant on the back of a stack of giant turtles, either.

About three weeks ago I received a radiocarbon date with an age over 4004 B.C. (5190 B.C., actually). How say you?

Actually, yes, dinosaurs did roam with humans - many hieroglyphes show this as well as Indian drawings and human footprints walking alongside dinosaur prints. Interesting research in this area.

yes, fossils are not proven, they are guessed at by some sort of radioactive dating half-life.

The Earth is approximately 6000 years old, directly in line with the bible.

I think you should not laugh off things that sound foreign to you just because your indoctrination forbids you to think outside the box.

Actually, the earth was created when I was born. All the rest of you are nothing but a figment of my imagination. When I die, expect to go Pfffft!

"...The earth is what....3000 years old?"

The earth is approximately 6000 years old.

There are intermingled human and dino prints in many places.

Our fossil records are not wrong, they are a perfect picture of the flood. You cannot miss the fact that in the fossils, all levels of development are present, from birth to old age, in the correct proportions, indicating instant catastrophic death. (this was caused by the boiling hot water gushing up from below - "fountains of the great deep")

"The presence of polonium tracks or haloes means little, as radioactive decay progresses indepenent of the temperature of phase of the rock."

Gibberish!

The half-life of polonium is so short that there would have to have been lumps of it the size of Rhode Island in order for it to have been present after the rock cooled.
