Re: the President's now famous "Get You Hands Off Him!" in Chile...the "get" almost has a "git" sound to it. Cool. That's him; that's Bush alright. (@ the 52% mark of the video when played)

How can one save that video to a file? Being that it's steam video, do you need something special to be able to save that video?

"He has a lot of Barbara in him." Are you saying W hasn't much of his old man's "kinder and gently, walk-on-me" demeanor?
To: KillTime
In the past I've been able to right click on the vidwo link and select "save as" to save a video file. That method's not working for me today. Hopefully another freeper will be able to solve this mystery. ;-)

Major failure of the S.S. ! Leader of the free (sane anyway) world, in a mob of people, in a third-world banana republic. Seperated from his S.S. protection by who-knows-who, with police officers carrying unprotected weapons mixing it up with the crowd. Extremely dangerous situation.

I think George the elder fooled a lot of people with that external public gentle demeanor...
He was a tough CIA agent before he ever got to the top slot....I dont think they hire directors
without experience...
The fact is very few people know the real George Bush Sr...but I think he was and still is a very formidable opponent..
Apples don't fall far from the trees...

"Major failure of the S.S." I agree from a security standpoint this was a total breakdown of basic personnel protection discipline. Even worse it's caught on tape for the entire world to see. Believe me this security breach will be studied by our enemies. The President walking over to the foreign mob to retrieve his personal bodyguard should be treated as a failure in security that if not remedied could be exploited.

When confronted by enemy fire, John Kerry took his Swift Boat and cut and run. He only came back later to pick up that guy, and he found that the rest of the Swift Boat guys stayed.
If Kerry was president, he would have cut and run also and left his Secret Service guy to fend for himself.
Yes, there is a big difference between the winner and the loser.

I enhanced the audio (and shortened the clip to just the segment of the encounter - about 22 seconds length), FYI. File is avi format, so it should play in most common players.
Right click on the link and 'save target as...' to save to your hard drive. File if about 950k.

Great video.
Hadn't seen it yet - love it, except for the fact that other have already brought up - - it should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
