"In order for us to unite the country ... those voters have to believe that our values — my values and the values of other Democratic leaders — are the same values they believe in."

In that case, you'd better forget about uniting the country, John.

Not only will those voters never believe it, but North Carolina voted overwhelmingly for Bush and elected a Republican Senator to replace you.

Why don't you get interested in something harmless--maybe stamp collecting or badminton--or maybe you and John Kerry could sail around the world on the Saramouche--something like that! You might want to take Whoopi Goldberg and Bill Clinton along--and Michael Moore and Larry Flynt. You could all talk about values.

"One thing you can count on is that this fight is not over," the former vice presidential candidate told supporters. The visit to western North Carolina's largest city was the first of six stops Edwards plans across the state over three days.

One of his most persistent qualities is the willingness to describe politcal advocacy as a "fight." During the recent election this was his consistent theme: it is also the theme of his party. Precisely what or whom are they fighting? They never say.

What I'm curious about is all that interventional hormone therapy she must have gotten to have those post-menopausal pregnancies. She had both of those tow-haired kids after fifty. That high-risk OB work, paid for with the money made from suing doctors. Crosses my eyes, the risks those docs took .

Obesity can be a contributing factor in breast cancer--hormones exacerbate obesity--hormones can be a factor in breast cancer--

Wonder if some NC docs are calling their underwriters?

I'm from South Carolina and know a lot about Edwards. He is damned near worthless, but he managed to give trial lawyers a bad name - if that is possible. According to what I have read, he won liability suits against doctors by conjuring up voices from the womb, surpassing even Oral Roberts in the art of fantasy. In a more perfect world he would fall over choking on a chicken bone and the only doctor in the restaurant would be the one he bagged for the biggest amount of bucks. I do find it humorous that the bastard is holding a farewell tour inasmuch as he was conspicuous by his absence during his Senate tenure. He was a stranger in his own land and will not be recognized by member on his tour around the state. I am glad to see him gone, the slick, lying little t...

I'd love him to run in a primary w/ Hillary, Gore and sKerry. He'd be screaming after the Iowa Caucus.
