Unfortunately, Steve's actions caught all of us completely off guard. Kelsey and my oldest daughter were on the same soccer team. Steve and I would put up the goal nets for home games. Trust me, you would never think it was possible. There was never any indication that he would do anything like this to Kelsey and Hayley, and the implication that people misjudged him is not nearly as accurate as the fact that he misled everyone around him. I still can't believe that the girls are gone, and he's responsible.
