I can believe this. According to my dentist and some cardiologists I've spoken to there's also a link between bad dental hygiene and heart attacks. Good dental hygiene is important for more reasons that one apparently :)
Well, this just bites.
At the last tooth thread, I remember posting that there is a statistical link between having dentures and living 3 years longer.
This looks like the reason...
Hmmmm what if you wear dentures? do you get a plaque buidup on dentures i wonder? or is it just that these germs are in the mouth all the time and cleansing gets rid of them?
This is why those of us with mitral valve prolapses need to be medicated with antibiotics before we go for cleanings/dental work so no bacteria sneaks its way into the heart and causes pericarditis
