Kerry would have to come up with 127,000 votes plus and convince both houses and the Governor of Ohio that this recount is legit.Wrong. This only applies to reasonable adults. All Kerry needs to do is piss himself sqealing about "disenfrenchfryness" and the commie media will carry the ball regardless of the legitimacy of his fraud.
Unfortunately for them, the commie media has been exposed. Sit back and watch the show. When the sunlight hits Dracula- who frets over his withering dusty depart?

You should read DU.
They are quoting all sorts of "experts" saying huge irregularities and glitches have been discovered in Ohio and the recount means it is all over for Bush.
Are these people nuts or what?
If this is all a bunch of BS why are Kerry and Edwards jumping on the bandwagon NOW? I thought Kerry conceded because he KNEW he had no chance of overturning Bush's victory in Ohio?
What's changed since then?

They just said on channel 6 news that papers were filed in Federal court to make Delaware County (a county with no money) do a recount. What is this? Kerry/Edwards getting even, bankrupt Ohio because we voted against them?
And they said again that Cobb only got one write in vote! Making Delaware County do a recount over one vote!!!

My guess is that any involvement by the Kerry campaign has more to do with maintaining Kerry's viability with the base for 2008omigod! i never thought of that! it may well fire them up the way that it did algore supporters! holy crap. if the freaks come out in force the way they did after algore's annihilation we might... uh... we might... hmmm. we kicked butt after that didn't we. cool.

Now it is a Dem recount and not a Green party and that eliminates the possibility of it being dismissed by a judge. No, it does not. They still have to show some evidence that a recount might change the outcome of the election.

Not necessarily. How would someone be able to legally make up 127,000 votes? First I want to point out that it isn't going to happen. GWB won the election fair and square - He won over 61 million votes! -
But for the purpose of discussion - say they somehow find a computer glitch, or ballots being counted wrong, or ballots that weren't counted but marked as counted, etc, etc, etc - The point being that IF in a recount Challenger Loser was to overtake Incumbent Winner......there is no doubt in my mind that the Challenger would be given the victory (a la, US House or not, no way would the Republican OH House members not give OH's 20 EV to Kerry)
But again, that isn't going to happen. The simply math shows Kerry has NO chance - For Kerry to win, there would need to be fraud on his side taking place during the recount -
The very notion of this recount over a State won by more than 100,000 votes!! is Evil and a terrible, terrible precedent.

What's changed since then?
Jesse's coming to Ohio..... He's said something about Kerry needing to keep the base intact........ Sounds like Kerry is listening and don't won't to write off 2008 just yet.... jmo.

Not necessarily. How would someone be able to legally make up 127,000 votes? These are democrats we're talking about - when has "legally" been a factor?
I feel very safe with this one, but yet, I can't get that goofy feeling out of the back of my mind that whenever 17,000 trial lawyers and Jesse Jackson put their collective minds together, bad things happen.

What happens if Ohio loses their vote? Does that mean President Bush loses those electoral votes?
How can President Bush win something that the state wouldn't have to offer?....... Here comes the House of Representatives at that juncture.....

Maybe they just want us to oppose them so they can scream in '08 that Republicans blocked recounts. Possible .. the liberals always resort back to their old ways

If the vote is not certified by December 6th, the President would lose the 20-EV. That's why the recount can only take place AFTER the certification.

I love Kerry getting involved! This is good news.I hope it gets nasty and lots of publicity.
All but the most rabid wacko Libs have given up and conceded.{ see Fat ass Moore on Leno} So this will not go over well with the majority of America and especially Ohio. This will increase our vote in 2008 just like Florida's mess improved our standing this election.
There are TWO bases that get "rev-ed up" by this . Not just the Libs.

OK I just read the SCOTUS brief any recount after the electors have been slated (DEC 6th) shall have no "LEGAL EFFECT"
To: Cold Heat
No, it is not Democrats recount yet. It is still Greens and Libs (libertarians) recount. They are the one who are challenging the results and the Kerry layers are joining them to defend their request for a recount.
This recount joke will not happen because the plaintiffs Greens and Libs have no proof what so over that a recount will change the outcome of the election to their favor and not to Kerry favor, they cannot represent or argue for Kerry, he has to ask for a recount on his own.
