By what margin does a Republican candidate now have to win by to not have their victory called into question? Even in Florida where Bush won by 5% I see claims from left wingers believing carry really won. Unfortunately the only way to discourage this is either to tighten up the rules for recounts or demand recounts when Democrats narrowly win. Lacking any hard evidence of fraud, any margin over 1% should not be subject to a recount.
Yes and today, there is a movement afoot to dispense with preciencts altogether in Florida! So, does that mean just go to any poll you wish and vote?!
Seems to me the real purpose of this recount-mania is to get dumb DemocRATS to help line the pockets of the staunchly DemocRAT lawyer-lobby that are the ones who gain from protracted legal dispute.
