The market has already factored this in months and months ago. The Rimonabant game is basically over. Also, in my view the drug, while interesting is basically flawed in that it is an appetite supressant acting on the CNS. A better approach to obesity would be to find a way to act directly on the metabolism of lipids. Key word here "AOD9604".
Over the next few days watch a company called Metabolic Pharmaceuticals:
Symbol MBP.AX on the Australian Stock Exchange or a lighter trade on the Pink Sheets and soon to be listed onthe NASDAQ: MBLPF.PK.
This company has what I think is a better weight loss drug in the pipeline and the Phase 2B trails are about to be announced in the next day or so. I am looking for a phenomenal move in this stock over the next couple of months.
