Abstinence based education is both impractical and unconstitutional."""

Federal aid to education is unconstitutional. But once it has started - and once federal aid for sex ed is an established fact - I want that aid to tell kids the truth, that the only sure way to stay non-pregnant is to abstain. All the other ways are risky.

I look at it this way... If giving a kid a condom in school prevents abortions then it is worth it. I also do not believe that there should be ANY meddling in education whatsoever by the federal government. Such "meddling" would include, but would not be limited to, abstinence based education. If conservatives oppose the DOE and a federal role in education, then they should necessarily be opposed to abstinence base education funding.

I think I have the more sound and consistent conservative position on this one. Do you disagree?

I can almost assure you, Churchilbuff, that this is one of the fairly few areas that we will disagree on. I just happen to disagree with the majority of my conservativer bretheren on this issue.
