I'm not from the South, but I agree with you.

More and more, people prefer feeling loyalty to humanity as a whole, rather than to obsolete nation-states.

Let's see, leftist Democrats would prefer that more people per day be killed under Saddam than what is now happening in Iraq. Wouldn't that be MORE inhumane? Why then would they advocate such a policy?

Simple, those people getting killed are nameless Arabs, which is prefectly fine with them. They can easily keep it off the airwaves while their friends rake in oil-for-food money, sell illegal weapons, and slowly bring the world into chaos, which suits them just fine. The can then foist global tyranny as the "solution," off which they can feed in perpetuity.

The Slave Party, as vile as ever.

It is simple a modern version of classic religious sectarianism.

The motives of the very useful idiot, in service to global communo-fascism.

The likes of Hayden and Kerry ought to be tried for treason.

Failing that, I would shed not a single tear if some outraged citizen delivered the justice that these two pieces of anti-American filth deserve. Not a one.

The main difference between then and now was the official declaration of war. If this president could get Congress to officially declare war against all Islamic states, perhaps we could arrest these clowns.

There was no congressional declaration of war during the Civil War. War can only be declared against another nation and neither the United States, nor any other nation on earth, ever recognized the Confederates as a lawful nation.

It is very similar with the jihadists today. There were lots of "sympathizers" both in the US and around the world, most notably the French government whores and British Imperial and mercantile classes who hoped to see the US "Balkanized" in the 1860s to advance their financial and colonial interests.

Then as now, the idea of a strong America frightened tyrants everywhere.

No, no. Tom Hayden for the "Democratic" Party nominee in 2008.

Damn straight! The anti-war Left is leading the Democrat party over an electoral cliff. We must win the war of ideas at the ballot box. This process of herding all of the nutcases into the Democrat party must continue until they disappear from the electoral map. In the meantime we need to continually demonstrate support for the President, our troops, and the war.

I agree. We'll win the war of ideas, but in stages, with patience. IOW, it is more important to defeat the party of the Klan at each outing.

They'll herd themselves, as they hurt themselves, because they aren't representative of the people, don't support the interests of the United States, and their Stalinist roots are hidden (by necessity), which means they have no ideological foundation. Unless shouting "down down Bush" is considered an ideology. :') Reich, who was Clinton's, um, Labor secretary I think, said that the Clintons had destroyed the DP, which means of course that they are still acknowledged by him as the leaders of the DP.
