It was created by a black studies college professor as an anti-whitey holiday. It is a total fabrication whose history is worth exposing.
It is actually amusing to see those who are suckered by this fake old holiday.
Furthermore, this professor was a Marxist and the celebrations of this "holiday" emphasize collectivism, as may be expected. Furthermore, the term "Kwanzaa" is Swahili, from East Africa. African Americans are basically West African in origin, largely from what is now Nigeria and its neighbors. Its celebration by African Americans is equivalent to Slavic Americans celebrating St. Patrick's Day to commemorate the history and heritage of the Slavic peoples.
Failing that ... it should be moved to late February or March, when little or nothing is happening on the calendar.
Actually he was in prison at the time for cutting his wife's head off.
Kwaanza is NOT anti-white.I know cause I've been to a couple and almost all the blacks who "do"Kwaanza are middle class "creative"types who are generally fairly inclusive. And almost all these same blacks ALSO celebrate Christmas so its not an either/or type of proposition.
Now I DO agree that Professor Ron Karenga has a very questionable background and his involvement should be very suspect.Yet the original Kwaanza ceremony comes for an old East African harvest festival.Nothing wrong with that as far as I can see.
Hell, wouldn't you rather see black kids celebrate Kwaanza than some gangsta ethic or hoochie mentality?
