Seeing Red and Feeling Blue
Better Red than Dead

By Ron Peacock (pavonews.com)

In your recent travels, has anyone noticed a post-election despondency amongst a certain segment of our population? On November 2nd, President Bush won re-election and the Republican Party gained an unprecedented second term majority of congressional seats. In the month following the election, the realities of these events have been beyond comprehension to a certain demographic of our population. It seems some of our left leaning brothers and sisters are seeing red and feeling blue.

It has come to this writer's attention that a number of John Kerry supporters are seeking medical treatment for a formerly unknown ailment associated with loss or not having ones way. The symptoms manifest themselves in the form of pervasive moodiness, sulking, feelings of withdrawal, isolation, bitterness and anger (I could give you my personal diagnosis, but I wouldn't want to be accused of ragging on the Democrats). The American Health Association has validated this puerile behavior by creating a new psychological disorder - Post-Election Selection Trauma (PEST). Fortunately for our misguided liberal friends, scores of psychotherapists are lining up eager to pitch their pseudo-intellectual snake oil like so many carnival sideshow geeks - "Why friends, for 300 plus dollars an hour, plenty of expensive mood altering medication, a recommended lifetime of treatment and a never ending litany of psycho-babble, we can guarantee our support and "professional" services as long as your payments are forthcoming." Listen up my suffering socialist friends, I am about to give you, free of charge, some exceptionally insightful advice and an irrefutable remedy: GET OVER IT!

Visit our site and order all your 'Better Dead Than Red' productsFailing to understand the true reasoning behind their defeat, others of the purportedly tolerant, progressive and open-minded left, have resorted to labeling the voters of red states as rednecks, fundamentalist zealots, homophobes, stupid, illiterate, unenlightened and worse. This shameful outpouring of hate-speech is symptomatic of the bitter campaign and the Democrats acute denial in the wake of their parties political collapse. The truth is, in this post-911 world, the Democrats were unable to convince the American public they had anything remotely resembling a credible plan to secure the safety of our citizens and defeat terrorism on a global scale.

On November 2nd, our country spoke and as the map clearly reveals, the American people said: "Better Red Than Dead". We are in a struggle against a most cunning, cowardly and contemptible enemy. The majority of Americans understand that we must not relent. If we do not "stay the course" and defeat the radical Islamic terrorists, we will certainly face more death and suffering within our own borders; that is the ambition of our enemy. America has elected to retain our present war time President, in so doing, supporting our present policies of bringing the war to our enemy and democracy to the middle east.

If you would like to salt the wounds of your leftist friends, antagonize Democrats suffering from the PEST disorder or just proclaim your red state support, you can order 'Better Red Than Dead' merchandise from The Pavo News Shoppe (10% of the profit is used to purchase USO care packages for our troops.)

Psychiatrists are laughing all the way to the bank at their expense. They've capitalized on this election to an extent that the Republican Party can only hope to attain.

When your party's platform has it's foundation in s--t, it is bound to collapse.

The really funny thing is despite all the weeping and gnashing of teeth by the libs, their lives will go on with nary a difference as before the election. Except that they will be safer with Bush in office. All the Hollyweird and other libs will still make their millions, do their drugs, and have carnal relations with barnyard animals, and no nasty conservatives will try to stop them. In short their worthless lives will go on as usual. Except that they won't be performing their sordid acts in the Lincoln bedroom. People who think that their lives have ended because a political opponent is in the White House DO!!! need psychiatric help.

At last the Bluenecks are doing something positive. They are contributing to the economy by funding $300/hour whining.

Hmmmm...
The acronym "PEST" suggests to me that perhaps the designation is tongue-in-cheek on the AMA's part.
Maybe they have a sense of humor after all.

Years ago, Republican victories were displayed in blue and Democrat in red. "True Blue" Conservatives and "Red" Socialists?

Now Republicans are "red" and Democrats "blue"; "Red Meat" Conservatives and "Blue Collar/Working Class" Dims?

----

I think that Democrats now DESERVE blue as that is the color their cheeks turn when they hold their breath and throw these "recount! recount!" temper tantrums. Why doesn't Petah ever insult them for throwing temper tantrums? Why was that insult only hurled by him in 1994 for the Republican Revolution? ("America threw a temper tantrum last night").

Feeling blue is an understatement compared to how I felt when slick willie was elected. My son was serving in the US Army and I was devastated at the election results.
