STREISAND SLAMS IMPOTENCE ADVERTS (Desperate bid to capture attention of "values voters")
Contact Music ^ | 07/12/2004

Posted on 12/08/2004 12:19:33 PM PST by presidio9

BARBRA STREISAND is sick of advertisments for anti-impotence drugs, deeming them "morally questionnable".

The singer and actress claims Hollywood films hardly ever shape our moral attitudes, unlike commercials for CIALIS, which improves a man's ability to function for up to 36 hours.

She moans, "I resent this thing about Hollywood and moral values. What movies are out now that have questionable moral values?

"You know what I think has questionable moral values? The Cialis commercials."

Why would Babs morally object to Cialis commercials? Is she afraid it might be used for sex outside of marriage? Is she disgusted by the idea of older people having sex? Does she want to deny sexual pleasure to men? Does she think impotent men deserve their fate? Just curious . . .

Now that I think of it, Babs probably opposes the Cialis commercials because they are put out by a drug company, and we all know that drug companies are evil.

What movies are out now that have questionable moral values? How about the Nicole Kidman movie where there is inference to adult/child sex...

I heard a guy on local talk saying there are 3 pro-pedophile movies on the way.

""In rare cases of an erection lasting more than four hours... use it twice.""

LOL. Or as my husband says... ""In rare cases of an erection lasting more than four hours... I'm calling everyone I know to tell them!"

Why would Babs morally object to Cialis commercials?

Probably because she and her hubby tried it and it just couldn't accomplish the impossible like she had hoped.

I finally had to admit that me getting l%#@d always required some kind of drug, usually alcohol - I mean, for the female. I said that to one of my pals at the hardware store. He said, "I might have to try that - because the pepper spray doesn't work."

Alert the media: another thing we agree on.

That is just the... ODDEST commercial. You wonder from what alternate reality it hails. It's like... Ozzie & Harriett Meets Edward Scissorhands, or something.

Hey Babs, ya wanna know why we think Hollywood and your type are so immoral?? Ever hear of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" Maybe you can relate with this example: If you are going to preach to people (and Republican Presidents) about how they are destroying the environment, how about taking a look around yourself at your 20,000 square foot palace on the oceanfront in Malibu that is heated in the winter, cooled in the summer (along with your swimming pools, of course) plus gassing up those SUV's you scold us for having but it's just dandy for you to have five of them.

Oh Babs, just go away. You're so tired and so is your career. You've Algored yourself into oblivion.

You know, I just realized a couple of weeks ago... well, okay, my wife told me, but the "wife" on those commercials is actually that same actor.  I find that to be gross.
