The guy who raped and killed that 11-year old girl in Florida had 13 felony arrests. His first was for smashing a girl over the head and dragging her into the woods (she escaped).
What did society think he was going to do next?
These predators commit horrific offenses not to steal, not to revenge, not to get rich, but for their pleasure in doing them.
If you knock down a little old lady to steal her purse, I can see the case for horsewhipping. If you kidnap a little girl to hurt her, you should be killed as soon as you are caught and found guilty.
It's the only way.
