I hope Bush throws some political capital around and ask Mr. Kerik back and the senate to confirm. The nation should not be deprived of his leadership just because of his nanny's taxes.

just because of his nanny's taxes. ahh - not his nanny's taxes, per se - but the income taxes HE was suppose to pay as her employer - it's called "tax evasion" - and usually people don't pay it because the nanny is an illegal - soo-ooo, not really a little thing for a law enforcement person

I believe this nanny-gate stuff is just a cover for something more sinister.
For this guy to have to remove himself from the nomination in one week says to me that GWB has not very good people vetting these appointments.
To me it is a dumb screw-up.
