See post #37.
Boy! And how. It's quite a job loading everything back. But a good time to clean house, too. :)
But that is the graphic that came to mind as soon as I read your post!
Oh yea right. LOL!
I'm not as fast as I used to be. Oh well. I will get it done sooner or later. Right? :)
But...but...Isn't the the reason for computers, in the first place, to be an asset to us and cover for us, and to make life easier, in our frail moments? LoL!
Regards,
But admitting up front that I was being sarcastic would take the edge off & minimize the point I was trying to make....the anger that y'all feel is mutual from those of us who are considered to be "criminals" & face EVERY DAY the horrors of draconian prohibition laws.
Very well.
I still think you're out in left field, though. Not a very honest way to make your point, either. There are other ways of getting your point across without angering people. No offense, but I can't take you seriously if I can't tell if you mean what you say.
You have no desire for liberty.
Ohio is 90 minutes or less from Southeastern Michigan where most of the population lives.
Indiana is about hour from Kalamazoo or Battle Creek, and 90 minutes from Lansing.
There's also the tax and duty free shops along the Canadian border.
That said, if prohibition happens again, I'll be starting my own bootleg operation.
IMO, LALA land, where else?
Not exactly the way to make friends and influence people.
libertymans desires are focused elsewhere.
Everyone in product marketing knows that the one group with the greatest amount of discresionary spending are kids, especially those from Jr highschool through college! These are people who (for the most part) don't have any real bills or responsibility, but hold down at least part time jobs.
To me the suprise is that anyone's suprised!

Like I said, I was trying to MAKE A POINT...if that causes a lil anger in the hearts of some, then wonderful--'cuz now they know how those of us who enjoy marijuana feel.
I completely agree w/ you about the States regulating pot: if a conservative state like Utah decides to give the death penalty for marijuana, they have the right to do so in our federal republic...& if an ultra-liveral state like California wants to make it perfectly legal, they have that right, too. The people should decide, & live w/ the consequences, one way or another.
I'm not sure you got the point. The article says that due to high taxes, a black market has opened up.
Because of black market profits, scofflaws of the worst sort deliver the contraband and fight for market share, often violently. From the article:
* The growth in the black market -- due almost entirely to the high cigarette tax -- spawned violence and nurtured organized crime.
* Being able to get cigarettes on the black market, rather than being turned down in legitimate stores, underage youths increased their smoking.
Now here's my question: If cigarets were banned, would the black market and associated violent crime likely increase or decrease?
Then you should change your ironic screen name, 'libertyman'.
Sheesh.
How about 'nannystateman' or 'controlfreakman'??? Those would fit you.
I said in an earlier post that I was being sarcastic
sorry, only saw your initial post and a response you made to a reply that was in the same tone.
The above is the usual result for any product that is overly taxed.
