Nice to see the Euros are finally getting it.
Amen.
Burke was wrong. His quote implies that it is possible to BE a good man, AND YET do nothing. Much as I applaud his intended sentiment- those people who think that they are good men...who just somehow, accidentally, did nothing, "aren't worth the powder to blow them up" as my grandma used to say.
This article is all too true.
I really do think that Europe devoured itself in two world wars and only the garbage DNA is left. Garbage just sits there and stinks.
Liberalism never goes to war to defend itself because it has no principles to defend - it only has undeseerved self righteousness. It's great at the name game, but never gets beyond that. It has ideology, but no ideals. Ideology without ideals is an empty bag of wind.
However, that empty bag of wind is perfectly capable of keeping others from defending themselves. The idealists end up punching an empty bag of wind (the leftwing) and being deflected from confronting the true enemy - Islam.
The article is also right about George Bush. Though much of what he does is quite incomprehensible to me - like his horrendous border amnesty plan.....he does have a view of the larger threat. He saw it from the beginning when he used the word "Crusade." Though he quickly changed vocabulary in order not to be drowned out by the PC crowd, it was an insight into his thinking.
Harry Reid the other day when he proclaimed that the president did not have permission to attack Iran - gave traitorous comfort to our enemy. I'm sure Iran was pleased.
So the bottom line is:
Islam wants to kill us.
The democrats/professives/leftwing....are giving them the knife.
It's true in Europe - it's true here.
